I honestly dont understand what everyone likes about DC sounds. I mean i have DC and it looks great, but it doesnt sound good to me

Maybe It's just me, I prefer the sound of Driveclub. The lack of details in GT Sport puts me off.

Don't get me wrong, the note (I keep using this word, best way I can describe it lol) accuracy for each car is great.

@Nato_777 Please no. PCARS is almost as inconsistent as GT. If it did actually come down to sample sharing I would say AC, Forza or Dirt Rally are the best bets.

There's noticeably improvements with the audio. But the upshift sound stil the same since the early Granturismo

Yeah that is a shame. Gearchanges stick out more than anything else right now.

I think we have to be careful comparing this fictional corvette racer with the real C7R. Engine/exhaust specifications could easily be different.

AC, from what I've heard has the best sound. I'd be really happy if GTS had something on the same level. But I'm not mad or unhappy with the changes I've seen (heard) since the reveal.

GT Sport with Driveclub sound engine.
Why PD didn't hire Evolution sound engineers? -_-

Not sure how anyone could prefer GT's sound package to DC honestly. Neither one is even close to the real cars however.

It's better than either of these IMO but not as good as RaceRoom and even GSCE has some great sounds as well. I posted this early in the Sound thread as an example of good sound. See if you can tell the difference between real and game. Close your eyes or this window or you'll be able to see which is which on screen:

According to this report...

... GTS will feature both optical and mechanical damage. It wasnt shown at the event tough yamauchi talked about that.

They used several sensors on the m6 yamauchi drove yestarday to gather data for the physics engine and they get several data from the BMW team itself. [So the physics engine will still evolve.]

The tokyo express way is 20 kilometers long according to that article. "Similar difficult and fun as the nürburgring"

As someone with no interest in VR, I'm very disappointed by not having variable weather and variable time. GT5 and GT6 were great in this regard and GT6 even went so far as to have the accurate constellations of stars (not that I ever looked at them).

Sony obviously decided to make this their VR launch title to combine new tech with their AAA driving game. You really can't blame them because a driving game is the perfect launch pad for VR. I can only hope that the next full version of GT will bring back the variable conditions, expansive car list and hopefully we will see an upgraded offline mode.

I'm curious to see what will happen with the GTPlanet endurance series though. I'm sure they will miss the variable conditions as will anyone who had been in endurance series' through GT5 and/or GT6.

"The days of buying Used Honda Civic's and slowly upgrading them - air filter, computer, tyres, weight - and taking it through your journey of GT and getting better and better, and faster seems like it's over. And that makes me really sad."

This part might make me the most disappointed of all the news. I bought GT2 when it released after playing GT1 at a friends' house and loving it. Being able to buy cars you would see driving on the road every day like the Accord, Civic, Focus, Mustang, Camaro, BMW 3-series, Integra, Audi A4, etc. which could be raced stock, customized and even racing modified was the best part of Gran Turismo for me. I loved the ownership feeling of having to buy the car, modify it for different races, change the oil, and change the rims. It made me want to go out and do the same thing as I got older with real cars and (sadly) real money...

Anyway, I'll save the rest for the offline career mode thread but for now: :(

Random idea I had.

Imagine this, 1 location, 3 hills, on each hill a point to point track each of the same distance. They can be based upon hills in Japan, France, South Africa etc. The tracks will meet each other at 2 points, somewhere in the middle and at the end.

You can go alone on each track and hot lap or go against 2 other opponents be it AI or on Online. The winner is the best of 3 heats, sudden death round or who finishes the race in first. You can uphill or downhill.

I call it, King of The Hill. Simple but fun, the only issue? Modeling a hill and tracks conforming to the standards of the FIA can be time consuming.

EDIT: A condition you could have is each hill is dedicated to a strength, one can be handling, another speed and the last could be all round performance. So Ideally you could pick 3 cars for the event or just work on what you've been given for the event through a roulette.

I guess it was a "limited" part of track we saw in the London builds? You know, they've put some barriers at some places to quickly make a small road course of it?

I bloody hope so, that video was such a disappointment when I saw how short that track was. It needs to rival SSR7 ideally, with at least one part where you can blast it to top speed.

So with Sony just announcing 40 million ps4 sold through and they are expecting another 20 million this fiscal year I think Gtsport is gonna surprise a few people in how much it sells.
Yup, like i said in the epic whining thread, even a turd with the GT logo on it will sell 3 million copies. Not sure if that's a good thing though..

Can anyone identify what that thing is right there? I can't quite make it out...
