It's just the PR guys way of saying they will look even better than the premiums in GT6, that's all. Which is pretty obvious, of course. Well, when they're talking about gameplay models anyway.

But still yeah, that is clear confirmation there will be no standard cars in GTS. Which is great. GT7, we'll have to see.

There's a lot of premium cars in GT6. But we have already seen non-race cars in gtsport (trailer) and new to GT cars as well. So I think if it's a sport focused game where you choose your manufacturer, it'll be more focused on those who have a prevalent motorsport model. My guess at least.

This counts as motorsport, no?

Oh so you mean this 'model' of Yaris Cup car doesn't count as motorsport?

It's the same car. The cup cars differ from the road cars only in terms of a differing final drive, the fitting of a LSD and safety equipment (and those damn decals again - if only we had a livery editor).

It if in fact the very definition of entry level Gran Turismo, being a road car that you can make a few basic changes to and then race!

Oh and has been mentioned the Yaris WRC car I think would meet anyone’s definition of Motorsport.

Even Toyota themselves disagree with you BTW:

This is what I've been feeling about this game. Along with RM customization(if there is such a thing in GTS). Super Premium could be damage modeling to the next level, stickers on windows, full control of lights/indicators/wipers and warning lights(overheating & low fuel), real time led numbers in windows, full operation(and legible) of all in-dash gauges, hand-over-hand animation for avatars, pit radio script(makes me wonder about that flag system suggestion).

Sure, that's reading into things from one response. We'll have to wait but, it is an interesting response(getting a response at all).

But what are you talking about?

If there's a Yaris in GTS, it will be a sports version, yes. But these models are not in GT6.

Ahh so you would like to move the goal-posts, now its down to a specific variant of the Yaris as well as a specific year.

You said.....

"Focus on motorsport.

So, I don't expect to see a Yaris (for example) in GTS....."

....no specific varient, or for that matter year mentioned at all, and no mention of it needing to have been in a previous GT title either.

The Yaris races, in motorsport events, at various levels, with Toyota's full backing. Its a car in motorsport and at the basic level its a standard Yaris that has minimal modifications (that you could do in a home garage if your competent).

I spoke of the Yaris in GT6.

I reply to this post :
And?

The GT6 premium model is still a car that has been used in Motorsport (the variants differ only in small ways - the basic body in white is identical), as such I see no reason to assume it will not appear or to dismiss it on the basis of 'Motorsport' given that its been used in Motorsport.

But these models are not in GT6.

So a sports version of the Yaris can always come in GTS.

Which models?

You keep saying that like it means something, but without a better definition its utterly meaningless.

Are you saying its because its the 5 door F variant of the XP130 5-door pre facelift hatchback model, rather than the RS?

If so that pretty much a redundant claim given that the RS can be had in a 5 door, the exterior and interior changes are minimal (so the vast majority of the modelling is done) and the other differences are so far below the skin that they are dataset values. Even the G spec RS (at the top of the tree) are available in a 5 door for the XP130 (again pre-facelift).

Being realistic I thin they faced the same issue that T10 did, by switching to PBR rendering which you can definitely see in the released footage all of the PS3 assets were rendered useless as they're incompatible with PBR. Which means they have to redo all the textures for all the cars and all the tracks. Seeing how long it took T10 to do it with their resources, I'm expecting GTS to have half of GT6's premium content at best, or more likely even less. We'll see I guess, but I think there will be a lot of disappointed fans when they reveal car/track lists.

Why would there be disappointment? It's already known to not be a full title...
The PS4 is gonna be halfway through it's lifecycle by the end of this year, I think people expect something more than a prologue by now. PD is being late to the game again because they couldn't see the imminent industry wide switch to PBR years ago and their assets weren't future proof.

They used Nissan Leaf G for GT Academy before so wouldn't be surprised to see cars like that in the game especially given that fictional cars look to be in the game. As long as exterior is modelled to really high quality like the most recent cars added to the series, looks like it has a good chance of being included.

I think out of the PS3 GT games, I liked GT5P the most due to high quality consistency and it having proper leaderboards. Hopefully GT SPORT delivers in a similar fashion.
