No standard cars then, finally.
Like that GT5 Prologue. GTS will most likely having a small number of premium cars. Then when GT7 finally arrives, standards come back with either improved or same quality as today.

I really hope if PD actually close to its fans, for next installment they'll abolish the standard cars completely, premiumize the Supra, etc.

It really does feel like we've entered Gran Turismo's twilight years. Compare today's GTPlanet with 2010:

I still can't believe GT's naysayers/critics have been, and continue to be right about this franchise (or it seems that way at least). I think that's what gets me the most.

I'm becoming a pessimistic naysayer with the GT franchise, GT6 was such an unnecessary installment, it would have been so much better for them just to make it a 15th anniversary DLC for GT5,
GT6 was thrown together so quickly and so many things were overlooked, be it minor things, but they all add up, and they said GT6 was built in such a manor that they were going to try copy/ paste it to PS4, in my humble opinion, to join in the fight of what we will have on the market when GTS is released, and following on to GT7, they really need to abandon what they have built in for GT6 and start again from the ground up, specially physics wise,

Id be entirely satisfied with updated visuals of GT6 with a different handling physics, running at 50fps

All I really need is a GT on my PS4. I sold PS3 when PS4 came out and racing games on PS4 suck so bad.
The only good racing game is DriveClub, and I played it so much. Pcars is too damn hard for me (I don't have a wheel and I don't want one). Assetto Corsa sounds like Pcars, The Crew is pretty lame, NFS meh.

Damn you Polyphony, give me a reason to use my ps4 again.

If you don't like AC and PCars with their more advanced and detailed physics, what makes you think you'll like a new GT game which promises the most advanced physics engine ever?

About the Alpine Vision. I don't know japonese but an article is a good thing for a futur inclusion in gt.
Using Google's translate function:

February 16 (local time), a sports car brand of the Renault group Alpine, has published a prototype "Alpine vision" of the new sports car. In this ceremony, "Alpine Vision Gran Turismo," Kazunori "Gran Turismo" series producer Yamauchi that has deepened the company and friendship also attended through, many, including the March Lord (Goodwood Festival of Speed organizer) we blessed the sail along with the celebrities. By the resurrection of this new Alpine, racy sports car to choose a compact will be the ones that more exciting. I last year, held the 23 th Festival of Speed, we drive the concept car to commemorate the Alpine 60th anniversary. The advent of commercially available model is really fun. In the near future, more and more of the Alpine car will enjoy the figure going up up the hill of Goodwood.

Name drivers of Alpine, of Mr. Jean Vinatie comment
When running in the Alps bought a Alpine, I felt always like being in the home. When I of active duty has three straight wins the Coupe de Salz Rally, but it was what arranged in the recording of Stirling Moss and Ian Appleyard. Look forward to driving, that to win, you I've been all the way with the Alpine and involved.

Alpine Owners Club representative Andre Desoburi's comments
Alpine is my life, I feel happy to be able to witness the revival. Our Alpine fans not only the club, I would like to think that it had played a role of this revival, respectively.

Kazunori Yamauchi comments
Small time, I was hooked on Alpine. Still it is to have followed, that I think might be more than a long time ago. And the car of the dream so much up close, I felt vividly is this is the first time experience.

Looks like it's just an article covering the reveal of the Alpine Vision Concept. No words about it's inclusion in any Gran Turismo titles.

Well, this is news to me, I didn't realize the PS5 was announced for 2019.

He does have a point man. It's not halfway thru it's lifecycle but damnit the ps4 came out in 2013 and it's 2016. Then PD is not even sure that this GT sport game won't be out in 2016, so we are probably looking at a 2017 release. Then we still don't know if GT7 is a thing or not.

I believe the trailer for GT Sport explained that, meaning that everyone is going to be able to pick and up play this game regardless of how talented the player is. I fully expect assists to be a plenty.

Can't be overstated. There is a level of approachability to GT (and Forza, and a couple of the Sim NFS games) that actual PC style sims rarely bother with. I don't know anything about Assetto Corsa, but PCars isn't what I would call easy to get a grasp on.

Don't forget, as far as sims are concerned, you can play GT and Forza with controllers and still be relatively fast, and have a great time. Project Cars, not so much. I became consistent and quick with a pad, but after dropping the game for three months and returning to it, I was absolutely horrendous. It's not a game you can pick up and play like most console sims, and honestly I care much more about that than realism.

I feel exactly the same way. That's why Project Cars lacks charisma in comparison to GT. Moreover, Project Cars is not made with surgical precision and could've been an excellent game if it wasn't littered with bugs and bad controller compatibility. I may like a fanboy here but PD has genuine intent and is a well established brand in the gaming world IN GENERAL, not just for the genre. I know that they aren't at the top of their game right now, but we have seen PD take the gaming world by storm in the past and that is why I'm optimistic about the future of the franchise.

Indeed. I know of people who will buy Gran Turismo for that very reason. They like how it plays, but they run with every assist on at all times. Sometimes I do too. With the whole "7 to 77" tagline in GT Sport, PDI will continue to attract all types of skill levels. I am very curious to see GT Sport's physics engine.

I still have my wheel from GT4, but I didn't even bother with it on GT5-6. Why? I had plenty of fun without it and with my time to play games limited now (as compared to years prior), "picking up and playing" is what I am after most the time.

The thing with GT is when it does something right, it really does it right and one of those things is controller input. No racing game I've played has better control with a pad that GT. Other games range from still rather good (Forza) to pretty damn frustrating but better with tweaking (Shift 2) to I just can't drive these things (For me, Absolute Supercars).

It's just a shame it doesn't do everything so well. Lighting is another area they're second to none in the genre.

Indeed. I've found Forza even better than GT when it comes to pad driving, but that could be largely due to the superior triggers (especially the XB1's rumbly ones), but the great thing about both games is how they don't alienate pad users. Despite the moanings of hardcore wheel-or-nothing users, controller calibration is important, as the vast majority of players will be using the same controller that came with their system.

Absolutely agreed about the lighting as well. Driveclub is right up there, though I'm curious to see how the retail version of GT Sport measures up in that regard.

Maybe GTS might show up.

March 15th is within the time limit, an available now moment? surely if it is a no show at Geneva and GDC then it's delayed.
