I really hope the focus on the Pro version is on an absolutely rock solid 60fps (or more), not on loading it down with yet more graphical niceties and continuing the trend set by GT5.

GT Sport doesn't need to look any better, IMO.

Unless the VR mode is different shouldn't the regular PS4 output a locked 60 for VR anyway?

I would add more life on the track. It's far too clinical. We need more objects and more interactions between cars and the track.

Yes, but we've yet to see the game hit a solid 60. That's why I'm a little worried.

That'd be good too. 👍

I just don't get this never-ending push for more resolution. It strikes me as oddly similar to the rush for more megapixels from digital cameras a decade ago. It's a big number to add to the bullet points on the box, but it matters far less than the actual lens attached, or the person behind the camera.

In the non HD era, GT tracks were amazing from an artistic point of view. Now, we have HD textures in a ghost town (Tokyo track).

No. For online, framerate should be the same.

No... what?

Framerates don't have to be identical across all participants' systems in an online race. The PS3 GT games are already proof of that, as is just about any PC game.

Huh, interesting. 👍

So either the vanilla version maintains a locked 60fps as well as on the Pro, or we go an entire decade without a GT game managing that feat.

Both ps4 and ps4 pro aim 60 fps. So there is no problem. The locked 60fps will probably be on pro.

Except the game will need to meet a locked 60fps on the normal PS4 in order for full PSVR compatibility - that is, unless, they pull a Driveclub VR and go for a "PS4" visual setting and a "VR" visual setting... but if that was true, surely dynamic weather wouldn't have been omitted from the game in the first place? It's all very confusing. Come to think of it, last gen GT games had Premium and Standard cars... and now we have Premium and Standard PS4s on which to play GT Sport. What does that make the PSVR... Semi-Premium?

Can someone please try and capture the sounds of a Toyota 86 and Subaru STI please?

I missed the events in my country because exams and one was 600km away:grumpy:

Indeed it's all quite confusing, as much as I love the franchise I'm still on the fence, if PS4 Pro online will be at the same frame rate of PS4 vanilla honestly those supposed 60 locked fps remain to be seen. I'll wait a digital foundry test.
Aiming =/= hitting.
This.

If possible, if anyone will try out the latest build some time from now, maybe someone can check out the Garage mode in the main menu, then the car list, then on "Change View" to check out all the cars' specs. I'm really curious to find out the specs of all Gr. 3 and Gr. B race cars, so maybe someone can add photos showing the specs of all the cars (most especially the Gr. 3 and Gr. B cars).

Here's an example of what I'm talking about of how people trying to document the latest build should do:

Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 2.12.43 PM.png

(Go to Garage mode)

Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 2.13.00 PM.png

(Go to Car List)

Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 2.13.28 PM.png

(Go to "Change View" to show all cars' specs)

The photos were from a video showing an out-dated build, so I'm very eager to find out the specs of all the Gr. 3 and Gr. B cars.

Could someone also check the "Car Settings", on various cars from all the groups, both road cars and racing cars/Rally. I'm eager to see the suspension figures, tranny, and LSD.
And most and foremost...If the 'Seattle Short' is available, please take a run on that track. Thanks:bowdown::cheers:

Attend a replay at Nurburgring in the GT Sport and tell me: PD have gone backwards?

I wouldn't agree that GT5 or GT6(especially) have gone 'backwards' compared to GT4 at all. I think they're almost objectively superior games. I would argue that PD might have gone backwards in relation to their competition though, which at the time of GT4, was pretty much nonexistent, which kind of makes even that a hard comparison.

I do think GT Sport has the potential to be a truly 'backwards-heading' Gran Turismo, though. I can see a lot of backlash at the lack of single player career and lack of upgrading, both from users but also professional reviews. These have always been HUGE parts of the series and what I imagine has helped sell it to the millions of 'less hardcore' racing fans out there over the years.
Maybe I didn't explain my case correctly. PD have not gone backwards with regards to replays, graphics, tracks, car list and physics (but I'd argue the case). GT4 is a very well rounded that game doesn't have a tonne of bull bull, incomplete features, missing features and dismal AI. The career is solid with so many events to complete, and the depth of it all is virtually unmatched in today's video games. I sometimes feel as though big game devs want to make a quick buck, milking players through DLC and other stupid features. The heart and soul which was put into previous games is gone, but I'm hoping that there's still some good things about GT Sport. I don't want it to blow me away, but I want it to impress me.

Most likely IMO, as the game save it when you finish your work in Livery Editor:D
What I'm basically say is if we can choose cars to race against from our own garage.
Since I'm skeptical it will be possible, they probably just give the same starting grids with default liveries over and over again. Glad to be proved wrong though.
