Actually for ps4pro Witness will have 2k@60fps with improved graphics and native 4k@30fps, not bad at all.

Source : the-witness.net/news/2016/11/ps4-pro-patch-update/

If you-have a PS4 Pro, and are outputting to a 1080p TV, The Witness will render at 1080p, 60fps, 4x MSAA (qui est Substantially Higher Than PS4's the basic 900p, 60fps, 2x MSAA). This is the Sami as we annoncé Earlier in the posting.

I forget 60 fps, sorry.

Pro games will have better AF, draw distance and improved IQ and AA as you said, how does that not equal to graphics?
Not all games will get better AF or draw distances. This is just an 'option' for developers. So far, it seems most games are just getting better IQ via higher resolutions.

650S confirmed.

That PSVR footage shows one car only, so a seperate VR mode in GTSport is something that is likely.

I'm not so sure. Kaz said that VR would be fully integrated throughout the game, rather than simply tacked on as an extra mode. Furthermore, the actual PSVR advert showed a McLaren 650S and Aston Martin One-77 racing together, with the action viewed from the 650S cockpit in VR mode.

Wait, what's the point of having this "VR Tour"?

More likely is the need for additional resources.

SONY recommended for VR mode 90fps rendering and furthermore requires two slightly offset views for the 3D effect which requires more processing power than the normal mode to TV and perhaps a compromise that would have not wanted to take on.

Think of the first GT HiFi mode.

Outsourcing some development =/= allowing a different studio to make a spin-off franchise.
It would have if you had read the quotes in the article instead just the title; since the specific statements are well in line with previous things Kaz had said on the subject.

What part of this:
For Gran Turismo, all the data and all the code that goes into a title is developed by the 200 or more staff that we have working out of Japan. It’s really unthinkable that we would have somebody else make a spin-off title, because then it wouldn’t be GT any more,
Suggests they are amenable to outside help? If a spinoff made by someone else wouldn't be GT (and therefore wouldn't exist) simply because it was made by someone else even though it would be full of things made by PD and overseen by PD, why should it be assumed any contributions made by someone else towards a "real" GT game would fare any better?

What part of this:
While we were developing GT Sport, we actually did look back at all the data we still have in our servers at Polyphony to see: what was our mindset when we made the first Gran Turismo? Looking at all this information, we were able to see we have had the same target for the series over the years, and Gran Turismo Sport is undoubtedly ‘Gran Turismo’.
Suggests that it is possible understand the inspiration used (or the infamous "Kaz's vision") to make the original Gran Turismo games without being a part of PD? Especially with PD being a developer (for better or for worse) who apparently has retained all of the same staff members since the very beginning?

One thing conveyed by Kaz in the past, and even more frequently trumpeted by people on this forum as well, is that PD is a sort of family structure that carries over to how it develops games. That has positives (those vaguely defined idiosyncrasies certain people use when they say why even the worst GT games are preferable to any alternative titles probably come from this) and certainly has negatives (GTPSP being the most obvious example) on PD's side as well as the player's side, but it's hard to believe an unsourced assertion that PD as a whole is willing to let that go now after reaffirming it in an only slightly different context just four months ago.

Is it capable of 4K? All I heard was that now it has HDR. Or am I missing something?

Yes.

Yes, Yamauchi confirms a special VR Tour mode for GT Sport

Yep knew it, it was @SlipZtrEm 's post that got me thinking that yeah highly unlikely they get a locked 60 and with DCVR's vomit comet comments they're probably looking for 90FPS.

Edit: This I shall speculate to be the reason of the delay, maybe now the non VR mode can get other features like Dynamic TOD, etc. If so then this is great news.

Not exactly earth shattering praise while oddly reminiscent of many of the comments around here this last year or so:
For all the technical wizardry, the years of development, it really boils down to this: if you love Gran Turismo, it feels like it’s more of the same. This is an evolution on the track married to a revolution for the game’s multiplayer. If you and GT don’t see eye to eye last generation, it’s probably time to give up on the series changing.

PD are absolutely not the only company to boast about tiny details but I honestly can't fathom who they think is impressed by talk of hyper-accurate paint colours? Has anyone played old GT games and been put off by the 'incorrect' car colours? I somehow doubt it. Of all the things to talk about and focus on, it strikes me as odd.

An unnecessary detail, in my opinion. If they introduced a layered hue selection then people can recreate anything.

This is all some lovely news, can we get a new trailer to top it off? :D

Yeah just read all the new Eurogamer news, sounded promising and thought "ah! new trailer!" but alas...

Also, same old tracks, again??
