It almost feels like any time even a smidgen of new info is even hinted at, even if it turns out to be false, people go absolutely ape**** since they have had nothing to tide them over.
And it really goes to show how poorly Kaz and Polyphony have vocalized any sort of updates or even documentation of projects. For far too long it seems like other people and companies have been doing their work, telling everyone else "Hey, GT Sport is still alive!" Compare this to SMS and Kunos with Project CARS and Assetto respectively. Both companies are active in social media, answering fans questions when applicable, and sending out updates at relatively sane times.
Meanwhile, Polyphony is still relatively radio silence. People in here getting excited over, relatively speaking, a sponsership agreement. That's pretty bad. It reminds me of how often Atlus gave Western fans the runaround in the run up to the final release date of Persona 5. Then again, Atlus Japan actively hates Atlus USA and wants the latter to fail. Maybe terrible communication on projects is a trait of Japanese developed games?
