When they write things like ,,more than 100 cars, more racecars and fewer roadcars, super premium cars''...... how are those supposed as PR non-answers?
Show me where they've said that? All I've seen is "we cannot announce anything yet, but we will soon", etc.

I wasn't doubting the response, you said "I don't know how to post the picture" so I was telling how to...

跟使用正體中文的朋友說一下,這里的“China”是心情急切之下無意識的習慣用詞,本人并無政治企圖。對于長期大中華地區民眾之間由于種種原因造成的分歧,小生表示感知和充分理解。
Yesterday, I outright got told a 2016 release of GT Sport is still on the cards. My bet is the GT Sport Beta is being held back till its commencement can be announced at a big FIA event.

Those ones aren't, but they're not exactly a revelation either. 100+ cars, focus on motorsport, cars highly detailed. Most people expected all of those things already, it'd be news if they told us the opposite.

Well, there is a rather big one next weekend but unless they've licensed some F1 cars it'd be strange to launch it at an F1 event.

@Imari , do you think Apricot Hill and Mid-Field need any changes in their current state as of GT6? I kinda like that Mid-Field feels abit bigger environment wise (as in actually having some visual proportion) but still fells like its old self.

Mid-field is decent. I'd put some more grass/gravel/run-off by the first corner and the esses, just because I feel like a real track would. That first section is not so dissimilar in spirit to the start of Suzuka, and so I'd go with similar safety things.

Apricot Hill I think is very good. I'd put some texture into the track surface here and there but that's probably about it.

The only area I might work on would be the chicane at 11. I wouldn't want to change the corner at all because I think it's fantastic, very challenging and very rewarding when you get it right. But it's problem is that it's a one lane corner that doesn't look like a one lane corner. I might consider experimenting with some combination of high kerbs, barriers, run-off and gravel to try and make that more clear to players while still leaving somewhere to go for people who get caught out or shunted.

Both tracks are designed to at least appear like real race tracks, so whether it's intentional or not they got a lot of stuff right.

It'd be strange to launch any video game at an FIA event. Completely wrong demographic.

It would, but PD have continually associated themselves more with the real world motoring events over the video game events these last 3/4 years. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they revealed more at an FIA event of some sort.

Was going to say that! Also, @georgetigra can be right about the VLN being the GT Sport launch event (remember that it's the biggest GT-sponsored race this times and Kaz/PD are there everytime they go). The FIA partnership allows PD to launch the game in every FIA event, and we all know how unique PD can be with launches, so yeah, there's a chance to see a reveal at an FIA event.

Yes but as someone else said, the N24 race is not sanctioned by the FIA, they have 0% to do with it. It's sanctioned by ADAC.

One strong possibility could be the annual FIA Sport Conference in June, the same event they initially announced the partnership at in 2015. It's the weekend after E3 so perhaps they will tease something there and then a full thing at the FIA event.

Except the VLN is an ADAC event and not an FIA event.
Never said the VLN is a FIA event, what I did say it's that, due to GT-Kaz-Pd's support and sponsorship there's also a BIG chance to see news at the N24 (even if it's not FIA-sanctioned). But also the FIA conference can be a spot if they skip the E3, or want to kill two birds (E3-FIA) from 1 shot (GT sport)

Just a few things,
1. Keep the speculation to a minimum. Don't want to make false rumors spread.
2. If you find anything new, please make sure the source is legitimate. Again, don't want false rumors spreading
3. You may talk about other things concerning GT, but keep it as on-topic as possible

Thanks!

Also: THIS IS A PLACEHOLDER! NOTHING IS OFFICIAL ON A RELEASE DATE YET! Please don't post this again. Thank you very much

So, from the last page I read(page 88) skipping to this page 93, I haven't missed a thing.

Never said the VLN is a FIA event, what I did say it's that, due to GT-Kaz-Pd's support and sponsorship there's also a BIG chance to see news at the N24 (even if it's not FIA-sanctioned). But it makes no sense, unless they were going to show the parts of the game that have nothing to do with the FIA at the VLN. Because otherwise they aren't going to talk about their FIA partnership and game at an event where the FIA aren't present.

The FIA mobility conference is in May, the FIA sporting conference is in June. If the beta hasn't come out before both of those, then PD will have missed their target and by then, they might as well just show up at E3.

To clarify I was talking about promotion of the full game potentially at that event, of course I'm hoping the beta has already been discussed and launched by then.

E3 2016 : June 14 - 16 is spring, late spring arguably, but spring nonetheless. Between an FIA conference and one of the major (if not the biggest) Gaming Expo Event, where owning the show with platform exclusive and new IPs is a game on its own, Sony's choice is a rather easy one… if only in terms of audience.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense to talk about FIA in a no FIA-sanctioned event, but as we know, Nurburgring has been reworked for the new PS4 era, and the speculations about new VLN cars coming to GT (like the Ferrari P4/5 or the Glickenhaus) that can be true, that's what they can show on the race because it's a VLN thing, and there we have some news! The FIA-related content obviously will be show in a FIA event.

Show me where they've said that? All I've seen is "we cannot announce anything yet, but we will soon", etc.

On page 92 is the bit with 100 cars posted by me and the other stuff some pages before.

Those ones aren't, but they're not exactly a revelation either. 100+ cars, focus on motorsport, cars highly detailed. Most people expected all of those things already, it'd be news if they told us the opposite.

Atleast for me it wasnt sure that GTS could have a car count over 100 because its a smaller game. That the cars could be now super premium wasnt either because i thought they would stick with GT6 quality.

I wasn't doubting the response, you said "I don't know how to post the picture" so I was telling how to...

Sorry, didnt want to quote you. But when we are talking about it, ,,take a snapshot and upload it'' doesnt help. I dont find a way to acces my camera folder from the ulpoad options i get in the reply window!

Looking ahead to potential dates where we could get more info is fun and all, but really there's no guarantee that PD will reveal more details at any existing event, let alone an FIA one - GT6 was announced at their own anniversary event, although maybe that was just an exceptional case. I'd expect the FIA Championship(s) to be announced/launched at an FIA event, but presumably that isn't happening until the game is released proper, and surely that'll be an event of its own too (with an unknown date).

Just a quick thought. We've been going over and over the stuff that will be included in GTS, I.e. the main release, but have we had any indication as to what will be included in the beta?

I've been assuming it'd be like that GT academy demo thing - one car, one track. Personally, I really liked that approach.

What do you guys presume will be included in the beta?

I sort of expect it to be the game in microcosm - maybe 30 or so cars covering the spectrum of road to race car, a smaller chunk of whatever career mode they have planned, and some online stuff.

I would guess 10-15 cars, 2-3 tracks/locations and about a dozen or so offline events of some sort, plus online events like seasonals. I don't think it'll just be one car/track, it's a beta, not a demo.
