Interesting.

So you reckon the delay was partly to increase car/track numbers? Hadn't actually considered that as a possibility...

Don't think it was the reason, but I bet it's a byproduct. I think the game was delayed because it wasn't finished. It was apparent from the copper box event that the game needed significant work.

"Forgot to say this but couple days ago, i tried GT6 with the Renault Mégane on brands Hatch with all the aids off expect abs and did the same on GTS. I noticed that in GT6, the car is easier to control and less understeer-ish while in GTS was harder to turn and i usually will end up in the sand on the first turn for the first 2 laps or so.

I've done the same, running a Genesis coupe at the Ring in GT6, detuned to match GTS, on SH's, and running a Megane RS 265 at the Ring in pCARS. Similar results, better lap times as well. Both other games feel much more "controllable". I also did two GT4 events in pCARS today- 14 and 28 lappers at Sonoma in the Ginetta G55 GT4. It was an incredible contrast- bibs and bobs that would have had me bouncing of the armco in GTS were catchable and controllable. Wondering if it is connection latency- both GT6 and pCARS are running "locally", but I usually have a sub-20 ping in GTS. I also wonder about the quality of wheel support- my G29 feels like a fancy DS4 in GTS. I've run racing games for years, and think I know most of the tracks pretty well, but I'm really struggling w/ GTS. For the record, I run minimal aids, usually just some ABS.

Been thinking about the track list. With the recent influx of news, I think all of our predictions are wrong now.

We now have 10/19 locations known. Here is where things get weird/interesting.

We had 3 FIA approved tracks in GT6:

- Suzuka
- Silverstone
- Bathurst

So that is 13/19 (assuming they get carried over)

Pikes Peak is allegedly an exclusive to GTSport (not sure how I feel about this) and Hockenheim was mentioned in an article by Red Bull.

There is the Japanese track that Lucas Ordonez was testing so that is 16/19 known. Here comes the head scratching part.

The Red Bull A1 track (I think this was FIA approved IIRC) will make it 17/19, leaving two spaces that can't be filled by: Mid field raceway, Apricot Hill, Spa, Laguna Seca, Circuit de la Sarthe, the rumored Shanghai track and Goodwood.

All of the above seem like massive ommisions if they don't make the cut (some of these were introduced in GT6 at launch or post launch, so they would be a waste to not include them).

Thoughts?
They might've reverted back to the track list count promised earlier (which was what, 25 locations?) because 19 doesn't seem like enough to me. There's so many great tracks from older GT games which I would hate to see cut like Monza, Spa, Suzuka, Bathurst and Le Mans.

I really don't know. I got the T150 Pro, all I know is it doesn't have the generic 2 pedals, it has a clutch also. The clutch is useless until I get a shifter. Which I plan on getting next. I'll have to look into weather the T3PA Pro is compatible, does it use the phone line style plug, also how much is it? I have the 2 pedal set from my T80 which I liked, but I rewired them for my DFGT, which is collecting dust now...

The one thing I do like the pedals faces are chrome. Don't mind the dust :D

T3PA Pro's are mostly the same pedals as the ones that come with the T150 Pro(which are the regular T3PA's), so yea, they're compatible.

The T3PA Pro's have metal construction(and are heavier as a result) and the very neat ability to inverse the pedals, but that's pretty much the only advantages. It actually has a less stiff clutch pedal, which is now the same stiffness as the throttle(so when inversed, the throttle isn't stiffer than the clutch).

But the throttle pedal stiffness is the same for both sets of pedals. And I agree the throttle is a bit weak. I haven't tried it yet, but I will probably look into this solution:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...pro-t3pa-wide-pedal-set-thread.316480/page-10

Check 2nd post. Maybe try it out yourself.

Another solution would be for you to swap out the clutch and throttle pedal springs. Would make your clutch weak, but who cares if you're not using it at the moment, yea? Obviously not a permanent solution if you plan on getting a shifter at some point.

Late to the party on this, but wanted to give my two cents. I've only raced fwd, but I was under the impression MR cars normally handled with great traction in the rear and a tendency to understeer while under throttle. I thought it was normally when you let off the throttle things get super sketchy. Like on lots of MR cars if you even back off the throttle a little bit while turning you could lose the rear end super duper fast because of weight transfer. My fwd and rwd cars were like that, and figured MR would be like that but more pronounced from all that weight in the back moving up because of letting of the gas.

Look at the caption, I love PD!

I have contempt for PD. How about they release a game this century.

I don't understand? Ps4 has been out for almost 4 years now. I'd rather they release something and worry about users additional car requests in an update or something.
It's their brand of business. But also, the car count isn't the part they need to worry about, as you say. It looks like, and hopefully, they're going to refine the dookie out of GTS.

Fingers crossed for an even better track maker.

Hey is there any other Beta tester who doesn't have access to the PS forums for the GT sport beta? I've been trying to get on all morning but the links in my email are taking me to the PS homepage. If I try to navigate to the GT forums it wont let me interact, it keeps kicking me back to the PS homepage.

Anyone else?

I NEED the full game to release yesterday. I am having a blast with the online races in the Sport mode.
I was suspicious about the "e-sport" concept when they showed the first presentations but the penanlty system is the best I've seen. some people might have noticed some flaws but I think it's great that the system can finally reward the clean drivers and penalize the dirty ones. as long as I am on my line on speed, it feels like somebody who try to ram into me or even overshoot his/her braking point would just become a ghost.
Engine sounds have finally been improved for the most part (I still think that the Evo n300, the f type gr3 are too synthetic). the game looks great, no frame rate drops that I've noticed, great soundtrack, great user interface...
Cannot wait...

Just give us the 911 RSR and the 918 and i'm happy :D
We Assetto Corsa players (PC version) recently received the brand new Porsche 911 RSR 2017. It's a great car - no doubt. I know that I can't speak for everyone....but among my friends who have the Porsche Pack on AC - the vast majority of us prefer the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017.

Don't get me wrong. I have the Cup, RSR and racing GT3 911's and they're all awesome. There's something about the cup...I hope you guys get to experience it on GTSport. I think you'll love it. 👍

I wonder if PD will put this on GTS (probably DLC, but dunno) :

I wouldn't hold my breath. PDI doesn't put many GT-Rs into the Gran Turismo series. :P :D

Did anyone else get this email from PS, second one I had now about buckling up racing online, and Solo racing, Nations cup, manufacturers cup and coming soon still when you click the link on PS site :) (no release date just says 2017 still).

It looks a marketing push has started on it. I wonder what the marketing plan is before release?

Yes also received.

What still surprises me is the lack of communication with the audience. A lot of mist. If I would be PD/Sony I would assign someone to e.g. GTPlanet and actively communicate with the vast number of enthusiasts racers (see the Q&A with some PCars2 staff). Also share some (generic) facts and figures about the e.g. this running beta. Without going in detail and in dephth they can say something about the planning how they ramp up etc.
Now often we read each others posts with words like 'probably, assumption' etc. Simple answers that can be clarified by PD (and no I'm not talking about the long anticipated release date).

But at the end I think that PD/Sony do have cleaver (marketing) people and they know what to do. Read our input and laugh (hopefully) about it and continue. Huge numbers of sale will follow anyway ;)

Hi, I´m new to the GTS Hype Train and I have some Questions:

Will there be online race series (more races in a row) or will there only be single races?
Do we know anything about VR support?
How about the Fanatec Wheels (especially the GT3 V2)? Will it work?
Will the game come out "Soon"? ;)

THX
