As a huge Akira fan I’ve been trying to work out the best way to pay homage to it in game, this is my take thus far;

I tried to apply the decals to the car in a way that made it seem more realistic for an actual race car, rather than have them match the size and placement of the ones on Kaneda’s bike.
I would like to do another one with cells from the manga on, but no one has uploaded the cells... yet :sly:

One of my friend requested me two cars from the WeatherTech IMSA championship. As I've never worked with the AMG GT3, I chosed to begin with the easiest one... Well, I thought at the time.

So, here is the WeatherTech AMG GT3 #50.

When I first saw the pics of the car he send me, I thought : "Well, it'll just be a white car with some stripes on it". I only see When I was doing some research on it, I noticed that some of the stripes have a metallic effect. So I choose to challenge myself up, and instead of doing a white car with grey stripes, I actually did a silver car with a lot of white masks on it !

There was some details I didn't expect : the real car has black door handles, and black wheel fenders. But unlike some other cars, they belong to the main "body" category on the AMG. So I had to color them with a black background so it can marry the forms by adjusting depht and angle, then covered it with white stickers. See work in progress below, with coloured masks and white BG to better highlight the shadows. You'll also see in this pic the fluorescent orange of the body base coat I use when I checked if I covered everything right. I also recreated the three-coloured side mirrors as the actual car.

I know about three things that are not like the real car : I obviously can't edit the banner and the fog lights (and I chose not to do a "fake" banner above the windshield), and I didn't put the drivers' names on it (by laziness because I can't do SVG myself and also because I didn't want to assign the car). There are maybe others, but I didn't see them with the pics I used.

I believe I have seen yours. It's quite good. The wheels I picked because they look like the original long tail McLaren wheels but not as flatfaced. The flatter OZ wheels didn't look as good on this.

I had the same revelation when I saw a BP Abu Dhabi Ford Focus on the game. I swore someone copped it right from me until I saw a few differences. But then again, anyone can have my stuff though, I have shared all my liveries.

Cheers! I did have a think about maybe making a British GT based livery for the McLaren, but not the Black Bull one. I was thinking more in line with Relentless Energy Drink, ala the old Strakka cars.

With coloring theView attachment 702760 wheels. Are they able to be colored independent of the others?

Unfortunately the only car in the game which has that is the Genesis GT3 (red/black) but only in that colour. It's something that PD should get working on because it's an essential thing for many liveries.
