There are 55 Asian cars in the not final car list, 50 of which are Japanese (if you include the 125 Shifter Kart by GT). There are about 163 cars currently known to be coming to GT Sport. This means that about 30% of the cars are Japanese, and about 33,7% of the cars are Asian, which I think is a record low (for a main GT game). 85 cars are European, which is over half of all the known cars in the game.

This is making me sad, I don't think I've even seen an on track image of the Elise at all... have Lotus gone exclusively elsewhere?

I guess they went to the exclusivity of the Chinese company Geely (who owns Volvo too). Maybe that's the reason why Volvo's logo was seen back in Copper Box but not a single car is on the current official list.

2 cars missing from previous list:

  • Lotus Evora, 2009
  • Lotus Elise, 2011 (?)

Very bizarre considering the Evora was in the BETA as well as many early builds

The text is highlighted — copy/pasting that is a lot clearer than four large screenshots.

We've updated the OP — it will be changing further tomorrow. Think better community involvement...

Again, we don't know how the cars look (Apart from the Peugeot, and that Daihatsu is making an outrageous Copen) ;)

While true, these are VGTs we've known were coming for a while so they hardly are secrets apart from what they look like.

They've only just been taken over by Geely Holding, maybe they are still negotiating licensing.

I was hoping all these new images on the Lotus Cars Website that appear to be renders were from Gran Turismo Sport:

Maybe whoever modelled them has some rights in their agreement?
Damn you Geely, why do you have to do this? We've been robbed, that's what I say.

Group 3... road cars? Are we talking like...
car_452_46737_555f54dd29c77.jpg

This seems like the closest precedent within GT land. In addition to real life homologation specials.

Also, Honda, Daihatsu and new Peugeot VGTs confirmed? Also the Honda Project 2&4, I forget what that thing was.

Also, Group X Copen? Isn't Group X like the unlimited class? Dunno what RJ is but I'm sure it'll be ridiculous.

And I hope the GT-R Safety Car has the livery of the old R34 pace car. We're any other pace cars confirmed besides the M4 and AMG GT?

PD just removed mention of the 4 new VGT cars from the official car list but it's much too late, we've seen everything, they can't hide them anymore. Now I'm looking forward to the reveals over the next 10 days, particularly the Daihatsu Copen RJ VGT.

Too early I guess? We already seen them perhaps waiting for official confirmation?

Not sure what the Honda VGT will be like (My hunch: S2000 successor design preview), and I'm expecting the Copen to be akin to the Mini Clubman VGT or GTI Roadster/Supersport.

To early I guess? We already seen them perhaps waiting for official confirmation? Btw the Peugeot L500 and L750 isn't a VGT though.
If they aren't, then what are they?

For the Peugeot VGT we know who they are

Peugeot L500 R Hybrid (no mention of vgt Here, maybe some modification will appear)

The L750 R Hybrid VGT who leak in some recent videos

For the honda, I have 2 possibilities
honda-concept-sports-ev.jpg

Maybe a modified version of the Sport EV Concept,
Honda-Concept-2-630x264.jpg

Or this mysterious concept

For DAIHATSU I have no idea
