Is that true? I proudly nominate this little pipsqueak then to fill the sole or one of the remaining spots.

YES, please let it be true!

I really don't see the need for new race cars, at least in Gr.3 and Gr.4. It just means more effort for BOP balancing, and thus more complaints, and the amount we have for the categories is enough in my opinion. Yes, it may get boring, but as a sport game it is quite enough I think, and doesn't mean we need more (I know you didn't say we need more, but a lot of people do).
Thing is, choice. Indeed, PD choosing to make their own fantasy versions also came down to what was available before launch. There were no Mustang GT4, AMG GT4, R8 GT4, A110 GT4, by the time GTS released. The Mustang was just released that year. So, depending if Kaz and team were aware or Ford were in talks with PDI, I don't know.

Kaz mentioned sometimes Manufacturers come to him. Could be a case of PDI not even thinking about certain cars. The first Camaro GT4 had been out. The new GT4.R is out which could be added.

I also get that we do have enough cars for FIA races.
I mean, if PD are bringing real Type FIA races, upgraded cars could add to that immersion. Not just for the sake of car count.

3 out of 4 ain’t bad. But Honda S800? That's the one that broke the camels back. Way too many old, cereal-box cars being added to this game. We need some more cars from this century.

As another user pointed out, it’s not even the RSC version. This is just one more dust collector I’ll never drive.

Here’s to hoping this is the Rain update.
Honda S800 is very important car to have in the game. It all started from S500 which was Honda's first production car and then they made N600 and finally N800, which was the newest and fastest. Having this car in the game is a great piece of history, becasue this is where Honda started. I can understand that some people might not be interested in it, but for me and others who appriate this car it's very nice.

I think I may be the only person thrilled to see the addition of a super-premium S800

For whatever reason, 5-year-old me was fascinated by the Japanese classics such as the Skyline BLRA-3, Mazda Carol, and especially the S800 in GT4. I totally get that these types of vehicles aren’t everybody’s favourite, but I adore them.

The 930 Turbo looks great too imo. Always nice to see new cars added to the franchise.

Upcoming cars look nice, Mazda TC will prabobly land in gr. 4.

Under 200hp stock means it'll need a lot of power and weight adding. 225KG's to match the 4C along with a 50% boost in power. The power could be fun but the chassis really hates weight, even when it's tuned.

GrX suits it better.

With that MX-5... a classic track should come too.

That guy who isn't happy on that gif is one of the members here who always moan about not including [INSERT CAR HERE] or [INSERT TRACK HERE].

I guess im that one guy that isn't happy then. It's not a bad selection of cars but I really hate that these updates are getting weaker. And yes im getting annoyed that they still haven't added the things I want. More decal limit space (3000 at least), shuffle racing, tracks that the MAJORITY (and i repeat) the MAJORITY people want. Laguna seca, spa, Daytona, road America, and etc. As for cars I just want the nascar's back at this point. Especially if they add Daytona or indy. If they add indy then I would love if they can get the actual IndyCars. Yes I love road racing but im a oval guy as well. We have way more road courses in the game then ovals.

Why are people getting excited over some turbocharged VW that doesn’t even use proper water cooling when we have the glorious Honda S800? :P

I like the cars but am a little disappointed that PD don't seem to bother much with communication at all these days. I miss the fun of guessing silhouettes!

Well, this was a leak, the content wasn’t meant to be revealed yet. We’re still probably going to get a silhouette soon.

I don’t see how this is a change in communication, or a lack of communication?

I’m really liking the Porsche and Mazda, the Honda’s not so much... especially the Civic... most people who drive those here put on sewer sized fart cans, butt ugly body kits and a stereo system with more power than the engine under the hood...

That's one of the best things about GT to be honest - The chance to enjoy older JDM cars as intended by the manufacturers while most remaining real world examples have been modified beyond repair. Embrace it.

Do you think the Honda S800 can really be comparable to the Toyota Sports 800? I read that the S800 has almost twice as much power while the Sports 800 has a power figure that's much closer to the S500. Perhaps the S500 could be returning to the series eventually, too - whether in GTS or the next title - since it was the first car Honda made, while the S800 would be the last Honda "S-car" before the S2000.

Are you sure that you're not confusing the Civic Type R for a typical, garden-variety Civic? Otherwise, that's a lot of Type Rs rolling around...

Good suggestions! Hope to see these and mine in GT7 or whatever GT3/GT4 will be the latest then.

Agreed. Perhaps some of the latest cars from the respective one-make series from Ferrari and Lamborghini could also appear as Gr.4 cars. Maybe even TCR cars, too!

They raced in the same classes way back then so why not y'know?

I may be wrong, but I am sure that the silhouettes used to be released earlier, wasn't there even a month where the silhouettes came out after the update? Still, since there are leaks when data goes online it would be good if PD/Kaz could get ahead of it and tease the content before it is in a leakable place, but yeah the leaks are the main issue.

Just waiting for the "Again only 4 cars! PD have definitely stopped working on GT Sport!!" posts!

The fact that we are still getting free DLC shows otherwise in my opinion - I know the number of cars per update is reducing, but it could just be temporary while they implement rain, work on some new tracks etc. or it IS because they are focusing more and more on the next title. Either way its a win-win for me (more cars, tracks and better features for GT Sport OR another GT)!

it's not that hard to release previous premium cars that are already modeled...the slow drip of content that already exists in previous titles is what's annoying.

They did? Could you tell me more? Doesn't the S800 have almost 2x as much HP as the Sports 800? (45 vs. 70) Of course, BoP could fix that...

There isn't a whole lot on those races from the 60's but according to records they raced in both S1 and GT-1 classes, domestically. I'm not sure what each class exactly entails either. Most images you find of them are their GT-1 versions as well so I can't find enough visual evidence to distinguish them. I've never really looked at this on a deeper level, need to do some good Google-fu for this.

seriously release one nascar model and people will go nuts with the livery editor and breathe a whole new life back into the game (especially if they add Daytona or Talladega).

people did that like fifteen years ago

Calm... I need to stay calm... it's just the 911 Turbo, waaaiiiiiting, just wait.
So, one of my favourite 911 (after the 2.7RS).

The Roadster TC was a 200hp/800kg car in GT6, not very close to Gr.4 category, so Gr.X ?
The S800, high RPM, light, low power but good handle (hope same as GT6 version, was funny).

Yes, but Polyphony Digital have not Nascar rights anymore, or they have to pay it again, and they already have issues with Lotus Cars and Spa rights.
