Gran Turismo Sport v1.23 Now Available: New Circuit de Sainte-Croix, Mercedes F1 Car and More

Personally I'm not disappointed that the Mercedes W08 doesn't feature custom liveries. I expected this. I'd like to have a VB77 livery cause I'm not a fan of LH44.

Excited to test the new track. Not really like that they included these <100BHP cars but maybe they are more fun than I expect. Cool to see the 787B and the 250 GTO. A new Ford GT? Not bad but we already have two. There are other cars that should be implemented.

24Mil prize credits.... Is this correct? Has the 20mil cap been lifted?!

I can't look it up now but HOLY ....! If this is correct I really have to buy this car. You could get access to a lot of cars really easy without grinding as hell.

Man I can't wait to get home from work!!

Has anybody tried the suit livery editor??? Can you put your own decals on there? I think somebody asked this earlier in the thread but wasnt answered

How is the new new tyre model? Did anyone some testing? Easier to control corner exit or is it now more unstable? lap times up or down?

Thanks
Just a very quick test early this morning , no time enough to feel the full changes (not so much it seems) but i could feel some news sensations at the wheel FFB with the HONDA S660 '15 (N100) .
- I've really felt a lost of grip of the front tires with a little vibration , a bit similar with what you can feel with any FF car like Fiat abarth in assetto corsa , a nice feeling , this car is very well balanced on his stock settings.
-I've also felt , still on this car , a more progressive lost of grip when starting loosing the rear end , passing to a light drift to a total sideway drift.
The transition is smooth and sane . No sensation of SRF like in the early first version of GTS , but a nice steady feeling of a free rear end ,
Perhaps some drift oriented pilots will tell us more about this , or it's just the car ???? I will test all this later today more deeply.

So, what's the deal with the optional microtransactions? Seeing these popping u on Twitter, but only seems to be coming from the Japanese version. Can't confirm as I haven't checked my (Europe) version of the game yet.

It's mentioned in the update details, you can now buy cars over a certain in-game price. It's in Japan now and then Europe next month I think?

They literally show this in the trailer for the update...
From the trailer you should be able to put whatever you like

One of the notable logo removed from the W08 is IWC. TAG Heuer paid a lot to GTS.:lol::lol::yuck:

It'll be available from 2nd August. From the GT wbesite:
Cars that cost less than 2,000,000 in-game Cr. can now be purchased directly through the PS Store, in addition to your standard in-game purchase.

The service start date will vary depending on the region.
- Asia Region and Americas Region: July 30
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Region and Oceania region: August 2

Well I just buy the GTO too and it's pretty damn good to drive.
It drive like a 55 years old car, oversteer understeers bouncing ...
Very exigency to drive that's what I like.
And this is why I've bought the Miura 2 months ago.

Got a video of it

Maybe it just me thought about this but adding legendary Ferrari for this month update in my opinion is actually nice hidden tribute for Sergio Marchionne death. RIP

Seeing the track layouts, I can't wait to test them out. While I would like tracks like Spa and Silverstone added, I can't help but feel like this is actually new content. As in, I don't even know this track, as opposed to all the popular real life locations. They're already in practically every other racing game I play, so its not like my jaw would drop in absolute amazement.

Nice thought...but I seriously doubt they did it for Sergio!

Got it, thanks for the info guys.

Seen someone having a rage fit over this, and thought it was a bigger deal than it actually is. I guess this will make the game more accessible to new players.

Just seems to be a more streamlined system than the payment model in GT6.

All I want are the kei cars. You can keep the rest :sly:

What is everyone doing about hard drive space? I keep having to delete installed games to make room for GT updates and it's getting on my nerves

Love the new track. Especially the C layout which is the longest one. It's high-speed, looks good and has plenty of different corners. It's also wide so it works well with GT1.

I only wish that they had a downhill section or something where you could get a great view of the lake. You can barely see, not even during replay. It's too bad since it really brings the environment to life.

The Mercedes F1 car feels odd to me. Strange sounds, non-realistic physics, too much understeer. But I appreciate that they put the Ford GT in the Gr.3 class.

So dissapointed with the sound of this car :(

YEP my first big disappointment with this game.. new sound engine, most other cars have improved beyond expectations.. AND THEY FAIL THIS!!!

It is as if they miss the last high pitch whine, and the idle is just broken totally..

I want my free update money back... NOW..

Hm, feels like they add some more grip - what makes it even harder to get rear into corner, but if it in corner then plop, rear just spin arround and crash. Cant feel on wheel whats going on and what car wants to do. So, same crap then before + harder to get car into turn. 👎:(

Not much you can do but spend some money, I'm afraid. I moved every game that didn't need a USB slot for peripherals (mostly racing and fighting) to an external HDD. I need the USB slots for the wheel, shifter, keyboard and fighting sticks. Get an external HDD + USB hub, and your problem's solved.

You gotta be kidding... what about accelerating from standstill?

Microtransactions are a strange thing, why limiting to < 2K cars ? Can people buy a 2K car for like 2.5€, and then sell it and get back GT credits (like 1K ?)

Maybe that's the reason they didn't include 20K cars (like, you pay 2.5€ for a 20K GTO, then you sell it and get back 10K credits ?)

The point of the 20 million credit cars is to limit and make them rare like they are in real life. Being able to purchase them for instant access defeats that purpose in making them cost 20 million credits. It also proves PD isn't just trying to nickle and dime players with these "microtransactions" forcing them to purchase with real money something that would take forever to grind in-game to get.
