I'm in too much of a rush to write a big post, so I might edit it in later if I'm feeling particularly energetic.

Anyway this weekend is the weekend of the Spanish GP and Ferrari's Imola form has had me scared for the past two weeks :scared:

This going to be the best Grand Prix ever, bar none.

hehe, did you see what I did there? BAR none! :D :D

I'll get me coat....

MS losing at Imola means he's looking to upset Alonso at home. This will be a great race. 👍 Go Renault!

LOL. gotta love the extra cheese.

i'm excited to see how this'll fold out. i want MS to win though...in a battle against alonso. he and his eyebrows have tasted victory for far too long!

it's gonna be Car Wars: Revenge of the Schumacher. (okay, that was so ridiculously corny. )

I'm really looking forward to this one. MS needs a win, while Alonso is definitley not going to be going easy at home. It's certainyl looking to be an interesting race, hopefully much more exciting than the past few Spanish GPs which were complete bores...

Lmao

Im looking forward to see how the Ferraris going to perform after the last GP.

Has anyone heard anything about ticket sales or anything like that for the race? I'm sure the place will have the entire country of Spain in attendance. I mean in the past couple of years they have gone pretty nuts for Alonso, what are they going to do this year with Alonso leading the Championship.

I really do hope I get to see this race this weekend, as I missed the last one.

I really think Alonso will not get to taste victory at home, Ferrari are too strong and somehow I have a feeling McLaren will have more pace than Renault.

yeah. kimi probably would've won at imola, too. JPM is gonna be in the seat this week, right?

Yeah, two strong drivers will be good, not saying that de la rosa or wurz was bad. I dont know why i feel this but i just think that Mclaren havent got the results they deserve so far this season and haven't always been able to show their true potential. You guys will probably go off at me over this but ah well.

As for predictions, it is hard to tell. (as always this year) temperatures should be higher than in Imola so the tyres should be equal. That ferrari was scary at Imola though, i was watching it open jawed.

Renault - the longer your winning streak, the closer you are to losing.

Williams still aren't quite up there, i didn't think they would be this year with 2 new drivers. I also have a feeling the macs will do well here, i mean weren't they doing some testing since Imola? I havent really been following it as I have just started school and a new job so its been hectic.

Yeah, everyone has been testing since Imola, except maybe Jordan.

The first practice session is over: Pedro de la Rossa 1st with 1:15.675, Schumi 4th 1.899 behind. Raikkonen 2.176 behind in 5th place.

Both Renaults didn't do any flyers and Webber didn't even leave the garage.

hmm.....the suspense is indeed building. this is gonna be one MOTHER of a race.

lol, seriously though....i hope i can still watch the race with all the mother's day stuff.

Man, stop with the puns, that one was bad but your first one was just horrible.

;)

Hey Blake, you may wanna edit the thread's name... here, have an "ñ"... now just edit, copy and paste :D

Funny, the Spanish are going crazy with Alonso, as you'd imagine. During a press conference, they asked Schumi what he thought, you know, Alonso beat you, you loser! (their words, not mine)... he answered "I'm 36 years old, I've been racing since I'm four, and I've been F1 champion seven times. There's nothing this new kid can teach me that I don't know."

Gotta jet now... but keep that in mind :sly:

I didn´t know Mother´s day was happening all over the world this sunday, I thought it was just here. :dunce: I bought her present today. :D

And yeah, strong words from MS. He´s the man!

i know. it was corny on purpose. that's the whole idea.

Those are some pretty strong words there. So is all of Spain going to be at the race Sunday?

strong words, but no less than the truth, whatever journo said that is an idiot, its just gonna spur Micheal on, hell be pushing 110%, and you might say, well then maybe he will make a mistake if he trys so hard, this is Micheal Schumacher!!! He does 110% standing on his frickin square head, Alonso might be the new star, and now has a few victories under his belt, but that pales in comparison to MS (who doesnt)

Yeah Sundays Mothers days in Australia aswell.

I've been very busy the past few weeks but have been watching F1....

My prediction for the race.

1) Kimi
2) MS
3) Trulli
4) Alonso
5) DC

That is how I see it...

Well for some reason I just cant see Kimi winning it, even though hes fast enough.

I predict MS taking the win.

Sat prac 2 is over and Ralf leads Kimi and Juan by 0.182 and 0.392 respectively.

Blake

JPM came out in the last moments for that lap, just like on friday...

ViperGTSR why can't you see kimi winning it? he has the pace and has raced MS before so he know how its done, the only possible thing is maybe reliablilty...

...I just answered my own question :dunce:

First qualfying over.

The top 4 are really close:
J. Trulli - 1:14.795
F. Alonso - 0.016
K. Raikkonen - 0.024
R. Schumacher - 0.075

Michael is back in 7th close to .4 behind 6th place Mark Webber.

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Blake

Great qualifying session; I can't wait to see the shootout for 1st place!

Also I'm still very worried with MS back in 7th; he's likely running on harder compound tires, and he could just come out at the end of the race with a massive burst of speed.

Toyota and Renault on top, or should I say my favorite two drivers and teams this year; just the way I like it! But, i wish Alonso was first. The crowds reactions were great, but where were they last year?

I don't count MS out at all. I bet he comes in second again, behind Alonso of course.

Go Renault!

Michael is running on the harder of the Bridgestone tyres, and I reckon he'll be really fast during the race if track temps drop a bit.

Alonso or Kimi will take the victory, I'm not sure who to bet on though, I won't count out Schumi completely but I think it'll be a bit tough. Though he has done amazing things from further back than that before.
