Grand Theft Auto V - Next Gen Thread

The complaint phrases that people are spending real world money for the turbocharger upgrade & that equates to people losing $30 if they bought one for all 20 cars. It's an extreme example only conjured up to try & add more validity to the complaint despite the fact that nobody has actually lost a physical amount of $30 on turbocharger upgrades. You've lost credits & the time getting them, time that is almost laughable considering how easy people can rake in money & spend on items they blow up in 20 minutes with each other. You won't see another reply from me if I have to read another math problem & repost the samething.

I'm guessing you don't play GTAV. If so you would realize that money on there doesn't come easy. One hour can yield you roughly 80k by time you pay for ammo. Yes you can grind and yield 100k but no more. So to produce a million it would take 10hrs.

I guess I see the point of others being upset about their time being lost or those that bought cards instead losing real world money.

Granted they could left the turbos on and waited No loss. However many want maximum performance and will yank those turbos. I know I did.

If you've grinded 10 hours for a million credits, I know you haven't dumped it all on buying 20 turbochargers. Because if you bought one & noticed it didn't work, I doubt you'd waste any more of your 950,000cr besides uninstalling it. Again, it's an added up example that hasn't actually affected anyone because no one is that daft to keep spending credits on something that doesn't work. That's my point; the complaint is trying to take something "into account" that hasn't actually happened.

If you've lost a $1.50-$3.00 worth of your time by playing for 30-60 minutes by buying a bugged turbocharged, I acknowledge that does suck.

I don't know how laws work in Na but over hear if the item says it will do "X". but when you get it and it doesn't do whats described that misselling and you're entitled to your money back. The way broughy see it, is some people are spending their money on shark cards and then buying an in game turbocharger based on the fact that the description and stats bar shows an improvement. however as the turbo slows the car down. The description is mis selling the in-game item and people have used real life cash to buy it effectively.
so it ends up being an awfully shady area. would the ingame item in question be covered buy consumer rights or not if bought with the shark card cash?

Until yesterday I never realized you could kill birds while flying at least I never encountered it on the PS3 version.
On the beach I did sucker punch a seagull once. Which was quite hilarious, unfortunately it was on the PS3 so no recording of it. :grumpy:
Tally this far two eagles who met the wing of the crop duster up close and personal

Every time I play I'm still amazed by the beauty of the Next Gen version

Do you guys think a 28" screen (Some $200 dollar Vision TV from Wal-Mart) will be big enough to enjoy the detail in the game?

Watch_Dogs looks amazing on it, though.

Been doing the singleplayer shooting challenges on PS4, 5th in the world on the 1st AR challenge after hitting every single shot in the yellow.

The turbo issue was becoming a pain in the ass to the racing community because of the lack of response or aknowledgement that it was an issue from Rockstar. Kind of like how PD barely communicates to fans. Thankfully our community has been able to put pressure on them to respond.

What would you guys suggest for a color scheme on my Turismo R? I'd like to have matching/complementing Neon underlights, so take that into account for your suggestion

Screen size is relative to seating distance or eye distance. Per example. I use a 24" Montior. Now this is one of three in my racing rig. Where I sit roughly 18-24" away from the screen. I do lean seat back when playing GTAV. So I'm more around 30-34" eye distance. I feel this screen is plenty big and have no desire for bigger at this distance. I also have a PS4 on my big screen, 60" with a rough sweating distsnce of 10'-12' away. I prefer the 24" monitor myself.

So if you was sitting 40ish" away Id say it would be perfect.

I'm sitting maybe 24" away. I'll take some pictures of my gaming corner later.

I've felt and heard a decent THUMP on the x360/ps3 before when flying lol

A strange thing happened multiple times last year when I was flying helicopters online. If I hit pause while hovering in the air, my helicopter would occasionally violently shake, the controller would vibrate, and I would hear a character shout as if they were in pain. There's several problems with this:
• I was nowhere near any of the flight patterns of AI aircraft.
• There are no animals online. What could my helicopter possibly hit? I was in open sky.
• I was online, where your character doesn't speak or shout. Who shouted? No one was in my chopper.

I played this on the 360 and loved it. Now Im thinking of buying for my One...are there enough different things in the current gen game that will make it a different game??..Ive read thru this thread and there are things that seem different/extra...are the graphics that much of a difference??

If you enjoy playing First Person games, then it's a must pick up, the graphics are pretty good, but First Person is a game changer

Yea you will feel like you got a huge screen at the distance. I'd say got for it.
I kind of already have the TV.

Was looking at the stocks on LCN, I usually don't, but noticed Augury Insurance was way down from it's high. Was at $35 a share, the high was $97. I bought $12 million worth, and kept running the time up. Passed 3 days, and got a 50% return when I cashed in. May have gone higher, but I was ready to shutdown.

I got a 32" 1080p TV from best buy for the same price, it's my dedicated gaming TV. Great value for the price, I love it.

There's better options than a TV from Walmart with no brand name...

I do love FPS....but I was worried I might get bored doing the same missions and having the same experience...

In my opinion the first person mode is what made me buy the next gen version as it is a complete different experience.
I'm playing through the story again in first person mode to much enjoyment.
It's much more thrilling in first person, especially blasting through the red lights at intersections and have a car driving up scaring the crap out of you the last microsecond before you plough into it and get hurled out your car through the windscreen.

The only time I switch to third person sometimes is when I need to land a helicopter in a tight spot or want to look at the vehicle I'm driving.

Of all the things they could've added, they didn't choose seat belts. You know how if you wait three seconds after getting on a motorcycle, your character puts on a helmet? Why can't our characters just do that with seatbelts in cars?
