Uugghh...Not looking forward to this event. I remember trying it a while back and it was quite difficult. Hopefully I can beat it tonight!

I drove a 1:16:7xx time with the pad. The most improtan stage is the curve before the bridge, you should have 32 seconds bevore you pass the brigde, and before the tunnel you should have 48 seconds.

My settings, Traction 3, ABS 1.

You do not need to be quite that fast. Bridge at 34 secs, tunnel at 50secs and I golded by over a tenth.

My best here so far is 1:17:9**, I'm at the bridge at 33 seconds. I think I'm loosing all the time in the last two corners. I'm hitting the apex early then going into the last corner with the tail wagging. Going to try again tomorrow and take a late Apex. Fingers crossed :)

OMFG i give up, i've been trying for 3 hours now, but 3 times i a row i get a 1.17.00X

👎

Just my 0.02...

Using the DS3, TC 5, ABS1, I was consistently getting 1:17.20x and could not get any faster.

After reading a couple posts, I saw someone mentioned using 3rd gear instead of 2nd on the long right hander in sector 2, after the small wooden bridge. I didn't watch the YouTube video, but that advice alone got me gold. After 3 runs of using 3rd gear on that turn I ran a 1:16:852.

So for the people that are still struggling and are very close, if you haven't tried 3rd gear on the long right hander, see how it works for you.

my best is a 1:17.029 and can't find the 3 hundredths I need to get gold and I don't know what you guys mean over steers the car under steers badly. You guys are miss interpreting the cars behaviour it's a powerful standard car, yes it's a premium I know that.
What makes it seem over steers far from it it's the torque the car has so it cuts sick and the arse goes sideways heavy front end, light rear end same as a dodge viper tail happy. The car is a pig to drive but if we could tune the car it is one of the best cars I've race prepared. handles like a dream.

my setup for this car is 4/9 in the brake bias and I've driven it with and without TCS best lap times I get are with TCS at 1 ABS 1. Tried TCS at 1--3-5-7 even 9 it still doesn't want to give up and give me the gold, you guy's are saying I've spent 3 hours doing this that's nothing compared to what I've been doing trying to get gold. I've been at it for 3 months at least nearly 3 hours daily trying still zippo gold.

Feel for you dude. This is one of the few golds I need. I have spent so much time on it. Using a DS3 and best I got like 5 months ago was 1:17:500. Been trying again recently and cant even get 1:18:000 now. So I have got worse...

People say Tuscana at night was hard... That was easy for me compared.

This may or may not be encouraging... But I found this harder than both the Nurburgring and Monza X1 events (Suzuka pending). Meaning, if you can do this, you're likely set for golding everything, as long as you have the patience to grind the endurance races.

And hey, patience comes more easily than racing ability, IMO.

An old thread, but I saw this gem and thought "phreaking what?!" This event was not a patch on any of the X Challenges.

I did a 1.16.96x with ABS1 TC1. You need to keep the rear under control in the corners, and try to make smooth and fast exits out from the corners, if your exits are too sharp, you will lose traction in the rear and lose time. And you really need to throw yourself into the fast right-lefter after the tunnel. That's all the advice I can give you..

Yes fast exits are the key. I love the 8C and used it in a lot of the 500pp Seasonals. It is great fun to drive.
