Grinding For Credits

Whats the most profitable way to gain credits now?

I would imagine N199 vs grp1, but I had a number of fails with this combination as grp1 punts N199 and game crashes if you're not there to re-set it. So I switched to N199 vs GRP3.

As many hours as you're prepared to let it run for, 1 opponent, boost off, pro difficulty.

and how many credits does this give you in, lets say, 10 hours?

I grind with the C7 Vette Road Car set at N499 for X amount of hours against Group 1 at Blue Moon. Using Motion Control, prop up the left side of the controller with a game case to keep the car on the wall.

I had a non-default setup on the Vette At N600 TCS zero, going for distance for one hour while I mowing leaves, it was hung up in turn 2 after about 15 minutes. The car was coming off the wall for some reason. Reverting back to 499, TCS-1, and default setup it was fine.

Using an N200 car, it comes off the wall out of turn two and gets PLOWED by the AI. That dude is frickin RUDE, making no attempt to avoid the weaker car!

I had that numerous times, and had to give up with N100 vs grp1.

But try playing with the opponent level to max the payout... You can tune a N100 car to 199pts without affecting the payout. Then I was running it against a grp3 opponent, which didn't punt like the grp1 as the speed differential was much smaller... and the payout loss is minimal.

For those that haven’t golded the missions...
I’ve noticed some of the times have increased to achieve gold.
For me, that means my previous silvers are good enough for gold.
I ran a mission, beat the new gold time, but not my previous best.

I was given the cash for gold, but as I didn’t beat my previous best, I never received the gold medal for the event. I could then repeat the exercise and continue to gain cash for “Golding” missions that don’t officially register as gold.

I've not tried it since the update, but any reason you guys above are using Blue Moon Speedway instead of Northern Isle? Much easier to "fire and forget" with Northern Isle...

I've used nothing but Northern Isle. n199 MX5 vs gr1. Never failed.

Currently running GT86 N199 at 3 Giurs of Blue Moon against a Group 3 car, I think it’s an FT-1. There is only about 53,000cr difference from Group 1.

Yup, its a glitch you have to beat your own past record even if your newest time is enough for first place. I made a video today with this glitch:

This isn’t a glitch, it’s a documented change.

It states that everyone’s times have been reset but if you’ve earned gold in all, you cannot regain the award. But you do need to re-run if you got silver/gold even if your time falls under a gold award

Oh I didnt know that. Its an odd decision to make, i dont care about world records online, but essentially if you have silver you are trying to still beat the old clock. I get that your best time should stay, but I still think people should earn gold if they beat the new time limit. Honestly its been easy getting the few left over gold with the new patch but I can see how it makes some people furious.

PD.... why?? I grinded so hard against my friends for some sick lap times to compair....

Yes, made me very furious...

I think the point is that the physics allows much faster lap times (if reading the other threads is anything to go by) - as such you should be able to beat your previous time with a bit of practice.

I would also like to suggest it is a glitch/bug.

The notes suggest that the leaderboards have been reset and our current achievement stays the same.

However, given we have never been able to earn gold prize money twice on the same mission, I doubt they intended for us to now be able to do that, as well as not giving us the gold when meeting the new time required.

We need a new glitch, because of now my payouts are waaaaaaaay too slow
I reckon we should communicate via private message instead of posting it on forums whenever someone finds a new money/xp/mileage glitch so PD don't find out about it.
Meaning we can do that glitch for as long as we want.
Of course, this ain't a foolproof plan as a PD employee can penetrate through the loophole.

You know that someone will post the video on youtube anyway :D

Grinding for credits has always been a part of the game... and now that they patched all the money glitches, looks like we are back at it again...

I grind on a rally track with an alpha 4c against a GrB rally car (highest rated opponents), I set it to endurance race of around 20 minutes or so, longer if I'm in the mood, and adjust the settings for maximum payoff (if you ran a 24 hour race the pay off would be over 9 million credits) If you get paired up with the mustang it's a walk in the park, and it's actually fun because your lines always change, it feels like a different course almost every lap ;) Way more entertaining than grinding road courses imho (unless you want to practice a particular car + track) , I run the Colorado Springs – Lake II for the track as it flows a lot better this way around...

I saw a guy on youtube doing this and decided to give it a go, MUCH more fun than I was expecting

I think the previous Nurburgring Glitch was the best you can get grinding wise. Those 9 million you get in 25 minutes that way.

If nobody exploits another glitch, maybe in some future update they at least raise the payoff amount. Today I did 16 laps of the ring and did two one hour long endurance races just to have barely 400k. EXP is even worse. I think ill get to lvl 50 from my lvl 43 in about 3 years at this pace lol.

For all of you chasing level 50... getting there through normal game play will take years, even if you're already in the mid 40's

If you're not playing yourself, you should be rubber banding. If you play 4 hours a night, the other 20 hours of the day your Miata should be grinding along the wall of an oval.

You can make c.30k exp pts a day this way.

How is this rubber banding grind done please if you don't mind my asking? Is there a thread for this?

Arcade, custom race, either of the 2 ovals, endurance race set to how many hours you can spare, boost off, pro difficulty.

I was using a Miata (with full weight reduction & power upgrades to n199) against a single grp1 opponent. This worked well for a while, but then the AI kept punting the Miata, knocking it off track and causing the game to crash after a while. I switched to a single grp3 opponent, and this worked fine at a marginally lower payout.

Others report still being able to run Miata against grp1... I think the payout for n100 v grp1 over a 24h race is 38k exp points (plus credits & mileage)

Set the race up, start the race, then steer the Miata against the outside wall and let it run.

Your controller needs to look something like this...

Steering to the right, gas full on.

Best to check it periodically if you can to make sure it's still running correctly.

Thanks bro. I appreciate your reply.

I find that using motion steering and setting it to a slight right turn works better than full lock

Select your favorite 199 car

Nurburgring Nordschleife (not 24H) | Endurance : 10 minutes | GR.3 Opponents | 10X Fuel Consumption | Boost Off | Pro AI (the usual stuff)

AI runs out of fuel (you don't need to adjust the fuel map) and you overtake them all somewhere before the final straight. Reach the finish line and wait for the timer to finish then cross the line and win the race.

You will see AI entering the pits before the race is over - don't worry you have plenty of time.

Be sure to flash the light when you overtake the AI for extra amusement.

That's such an epic fail. Make the game easier but then fail to give you the prize it was supposed to be easier to get!

Have you tried N100 vs Gr.1?
Do they finish the race?
