Grassroots Motorsports $20070 Challenge

I'm running a GT4-based version of the GRM $2007 Challenge. Competitors are required to buy, build, and race a car for a grand total budget of $2007. All cars compete in an autocross, a drag race, and a concours show. Their scores are combined, and an overall winner is selected.

The GT4 $20070 Challenge needs everyone to be concours judges! The dynamic scores are in, so now it's time to close out with the static judging. Judging is opening as of this posting, and will close at 11:59p EDST on Wednesday, 10 October 2007.

We'll be grading the preparation and presentation of all the Challenge entries. Below are the photos submitted by each driver of their Challenge-prepared car.

Please rate EACH entry on TWO categories:

1) Exterior - preparation and attractiveness of the car itself
2) Overall Appearance - presentation and image artistic quality

Each car should be judged against a maximum of 25 points in each category (total 50 possible points). To vote, please send me (Duke) a Private Message with your votes and any comments you'd like to add. If you wish, you can copy and paste this format:

94mtx: 94 Subaru WRX Sti -
Duke: 96 Chevrolet Z28 -
HalFast: 95 Subaru Impreza Sedan STi -

neonmike22: 97 Toyota MR2 GT-S -
Sonic: 96 Chevrolet Z28 -
ThunderCougarFalcon: 96 Chevrolet Z28 -
zarpgfreak: 97 Subaru WRX STi V.II -

Simply type in your two category scores after each entry (Exterior, then Overall). I'll publish any good concours comments received when I write up the virtual Challenge.

Good luck to everybody. It's been a hoot organizing this. I'm eager to see the final results!

C'mon, guys! I need judges please! Just give me a quick rundown of your scores - it will only take a few minutes. Thanks.

I'll give you mine whe i get home, they got blocks on pictures here at school.

Excellent, thanks. Thanks also to LdS for great commentary and scoring.

So, let me see if I got it straight:
We need to judge each car in both categories, giving each one points, up to a max of 25, in each category.

Is this correct, Duke?

That is correct. Each car gets up to a maximum of 50 points: 25 for how good the car itself looks, and 25 for how good the picture looks, regardless of if you actually like the car or not.

Thanks, everybody.

OK, I fixed the missing black MR2 picture (neonmike22). Sorry about that.

Has anyone else PM'd Duke about this?

It only takes a couple of minutes to grade each shot, give your opinion!
