I hear a lot of claimes and arguments based on very erroneous points because no one can really argue otherwise, or just to make ones self feel better. So id like to just point out a few things;
100 people is not a small dev team at all.
PD have been recycling a code base for 15 years, don't be fooled by a new branch of tech.
PD are technically and aesthetically competent.
PD have no designers.
PD's problem is, and has always been, lack of focus, direction, and creativity. Add age and it only erodes more over time.
Sony doesn't control PD any more than naughty dog, beyond any promotion that has money behind it. PD are more independent than any studio with a publisher partnership/owned affiliation.
So let's draw some conclusions;
We are 6 months past release, the game is in the bargain bin and used versions saturate shelves.
VGT was a bust and has no residual value as a retention mechanic anymore. It looked good on paper but failed in execussion.
Senna content is likely less than originally planned do to a limited install base and has more value being rolled into the next version.
Most perplexing, PD is still dead set on shutting down GT 5 and GT 6 online isn't on par with GT 5, the home to the bulk of their players. So this is the last chance pd has to update the online of GT 6.
To cut this list short, GT 6 is on life support as any further effort is a wash if it doesn't have a direct application to GT 7.
