Hello Geezers, I'm sorry I won't be able to host Wednesdays night Geezer racing . Because of Hurricane Ian I have been forced to evacuate .The order takes effect today at 6 pm, so I'll be headed to Orlando Tuesday morning .The path of the storm keeps getting closer and closer to the Tampa bay area as a Catagory 3 .I just hope I have a place to come back to .Hope to see you guys soon

FIRST,, we're wishing our friends in Ian's path ALL THE BEST and that that storm stays out there where it belongs and doesn't come ashore.
Re; Wednesday eve's GT7 Geezers and Friends gathering,, I didn't do a very good job last time I hosted,, I got rattled to easily when there was dissention in the group BUT, if Claude's not able to jump in I will host with a promise I'll stick it out til we're done.

Edit @ 1600hrs my time. I've not seen Claude jump in so it looks like it's gonna be my responsibility to open tha room and get 'er done😎
We'll start the eve at AutoDrome Lago Maggiore in the Z-Performance '23 Nissan, 399hp, 3402lbs, 537.49pp on Sport Hard tires,,, YEP you're correct,, it is the "Lap Time Challenge" except we're going to see how well we can keep it going straight and on the track for 5 laps. As is usual,,, 4th place will put us in a car and track of their choice (BOP encouraged) and we'll follow that procedure until the eve of the GT7 Geezers 'n their Friends is done..

Looking at the current projected path, Ian is supposed to move inland and head straight for Ontario.

PDI fixed the exit process not having a safety out.

They also changed how PP is calculated for differentials and suspensions. I don't know yet if/how that affects cars set up to specific PP values.

I don't remember specifically, but someone was laggy and was causing issues with a number of drivers. However, apparently, the latest update fixes that, so all's good.

Weather: Sunny and Clear Day (we will try a few different formats but no rain for now)

Tire: consumption during race will be set @ 2x for all races.
Fuel: consumption during race will be set at 100 liters and 7x for all races.
Qualify: fastest first for every race

Ohh yeah,, that truck is SAAAAWEET! I like over the road trucks, is that one a Pete? White? I'm not too good at recognizing them from this view. Twin stacks, double talk antennas,, clean, shiny black and loads a chrome just gets it done!!

As always, watching and listening to music on YT I stumbled on this awesome band I had forgotten but some of their music remains timeless.. From Oakland, Ca they started as a group in 1968,, the Tower of Power:

This was funk,, how many of we elders remember hiring a baby sitter, loading your main squeeze in the family station wagon and heading to the nightclub,, getting out there on the dance floor in your polyester wide collar floral print shirt and bell bottoms, beatle boots and doing 'tha bump' to their music usually performed by a traveling cover band? Car: GR3 Audi R8 LMS Evo '19

Track/Laps: Nurburgring GP, 16 Laps

Tyres: RH and RM. Both sets of tyres must be used during the race, qualification tyre is open choice.

The tyre multiplier is x8 and the fuel is x5. We start with a full tank.

Practise/Qualification for 20 minutes. 5 min break before race.



Tuning: OPEN. (including wing, wide body etc etc if available)
