GT 7 Servers are still down...

This disappointing and embarrassing display of some of the worst game development i could ever imagine is a mockery of the basic relationship between consumers and producers of products,I actually take offense to the blatant disregard for inherent responsibility with a product where quality and enjoyment is concentrated to online connections to this level, what a mess

Requiring online-only to even play most of the single player portion of the game that we spent $70 on, plus reducing an already stingy race payout to entice mtx leaves such a huge bad taste in my mouth I actually just want to quit the entire Gran Turismo franchise. I don't care what future content updates the game brings.

I don't wanna tell you how to spend your money, but please don't tell me you bought a PS5 purely for one game. 😢

The PS4 version is almost identical, minor graphical difference that a lot of people probably wouldn't notice.

I bought a PS4 for it which was a stretch for me, because I know damn well that I'm not gonna buy any more games for that console, but £180 is better than £550-600.
GT7 is the only reason I bought a PS5. Where I'm at new PS4's are going for more than retail, used/refurbs are going for the same as retail. I figured if I'm spending that much money anyway, might as well get the PS5. Took a while to find one with in a bundle, but at least I didn't pay the scalpers.

Where in the hell did you get a PS5? 😳
Curry's, logged in yesterday morning and they had a bundle for £699....PS5, GT7, 1TB SSD, Logitech G435 headphones, not a bad deal and as its been impossible to buy just a PS5 i went for it...only problem is Wife is now playing Elden Ring as i cant play GT7

Do you know anything about Japanese work etiquette? They're probably working their asses off for free currently
Haha hmmm, I get what they're like over there, but I still think that's unlikely...

Anyway, not that it makes a difference either way. I can 99% guarantee we're not getting the update in the next few hours, and then it's bed time for this side of the world, so it's still not gonna come online until tomorrow.

Everyone is so impatient these days considering the other things that are going on in the world right now, it is just a game. You will not live or die by a few hours of non game play. Relax and calm down...!!!

I think it's more a case of straw that broke camels back. People may have been disappointed not to get their daily fix if everything else with the game was cool, but as that's debatable we're seeing more scathing posts.

I got mine about a week ago, Walmart, I had to pay $12 for 1 mth Walmart+ account, then I heard a day before they were going to have them, and had to click buy within a few seconds of the Noon start time...crazy

Micro transactions! Poor race reward! Server errors! Online only! Are they trying to ruin a great game, held in such high regard, that has built an excellent reputation historically. Now this is how they choose to reward there continued and loyal fan base!? Poor service GT7 let’s sort it out before it is to late.

I mean.. a bit of perspective. It isn’t a free for all for bad service or consumer practices just because it’s not as bad as a pandemic or a war..

£70 for a videogame isn’t cheap and people currently can’t access a product they paid for. It’s not great.

First post. I recently moved into my new home and the internet here is slow. Took me a day and a half to download while getting errors. Now, the server is down cant even play offline.

I finally got it to work and was able to play a couple of hours. Havent played a GT tile since the ps3 days. Game is decent but too vanilla.

Was also disappointed with the selection of cars. Hopefully they upload new ones constantly.

Anyways sorry for getting on the soap box. And hello to everyone :)

I work for Sony in the UK and our Japanese colleagues regularly answer emails at what I know is passed midnight for them. If there are major issues they will do crazy hours. I'd imagine the guys at PD would be the same.

Hi there. I ressurected my 12 year old profile to just see what was going on between the maintenance and the angry twitter and reddit posts. I skipped the PS4 and Sport and haven't played GT since 6. I just got my PS5 on Tuesday and GT7 took 12 hours to download and install as I seem to have overestimated my internet service, and only got to play for a few hours yesterday. So you're not alone, it seems like a lot of people are let down after finally getting the game.

Long loading times. No big money races. Historic cars you have to wait for them to be available. Drive over and over again on the same track to make money.
Now servers down. Why did I waste my money on GT7??
Tell me about it.
It's a woeful driving game at the moment. The races/ championships that are on offer are a serious undermining of this game.

All l have been racing in are at the bottom of the screen 600, 700 and World...
The scope for racing is bad. It's like the game's producers don't want you to play/ race.

Anyway, l see it as having potential but whether anyone at Polyphony will respect the players on that front, idk...

haha! another similar one here - we picked up the ps5 and GT7 on tuesday and we've not had Playstation since the PS2 era (got sick of waiting for GT5 and ended up getting a 360 and Forza). Got installed overnight that night, and fortunately already had yesterday off work so I could get stuck in - but today I'd sort of been assuming it would come back up some point but evidently not.

Well, at least the kids are enjoying catching up on some PS4 exclusives we missed at the time, but still. harrumph.

are you mad at online only single player now ? I called it before the game was release and I was told to #send .

The should reward each player with 1,000,000cr for this one.

Seen simular kind of goodwill gestures when other devs screwed up before. Wonder if PDwill step forwards with similar?

Perhaps free helmet or overalls? Or maybe a 2 star roulette spin?

BS. I paid for this game. I didn't pay 99 cents or 3.99 for some nonsense timewaster on my phone. I paid $80 for a serious time waster. What's the point of using a console if the console doesn't allow you to play the game. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to play the game that I paid for if there is not an internet connection, or servers working. If I pay for a book, I own the book. Not the intellectual rights to the book, but the right to read the book. I should be able to read it anytime I want.

Why are there not servers for different time zones? You could at least stagger the maintenance that way. I had today set aside for gaming and now I'm ****ed. They better be doing everything possible to get the game running.
