I hate to break it to ps5 users but every track carried over from sport is identical on the ps4 minus better textures and foliage quantity.

The part of me that grew up playing these games since the original GT on PS1 really wants to believe that this is exactly what they're doing...
They're probably not though, and I'm just getting my hopes up.

You want to watch Digital Foundry video of the comparison between the PS5 & PS4 versions, It's not just textures but higher detailed trees, areas with more trees, ground cover etc.,
Yea, I got home early and its the wife's gym day so I was looking forward to playing right after I got home but no deals. It just cracks me up though how everyone bitches about the game and same with gts, all I ever heard it how bad it was now everyone went and bought gt7 and still all i hear is how bad it is. Honestly i dont get it. I thought gts was a good game although I do prefer a carreer mode. Now gt7 is awesome. I cant think of anything to complain about except it being offline currently but its not that big of a deal. I'll check back in months and it will all be talk about how it sucks and could be better and the penelty system sucks. LOL. Now folks are pissed cuz they cant play the very game that they say sucks.

Nurburgring Nordschleife is definitely different on PS5 to GT Sport on PS4. Not just improved textures & foliage but much more trackside details & more detail in the distant views also the track itself has been revised in the places where changes have been made in real life.
It's the same with Goodwood, vastly improved.
And you don't get any Kangaroo's hopping alongside the track on a 2nd lap of Bathurst in GT Sport.

I hate to break it to you, but it's not "identical" if it has "better textures" and "foliage quality".
Plus, it's not just that, but the lighting is improved significantly, the overall detail is much better, the load times are vastly improved, the controller is better.
The ps5 version is a big improvement in every measurable way.

It’s funny because I didn’t expect to agree with this. I purposely didn’t buy the expensive version of the game because I didn’t want the bonus credit dump to warp the economy of the “traditional” GT single player we were told we were getting.
How naive was I?! Turns out the economy is ****ed in the opposite way. I’ll take my apology credits now please, PD/Sony.

That's what I did, got noble m600 just for doing couple of objectives, roughly 40 minutes of enjoyable gameplay, no grind

Ironically when Microsoft introduced online only on Xbox people got furious , now look who is the new bad boy in town and I don't see no pitchforks

Isn't this GT7 servers or patch problem the same inherent problem I had with games like NEED for SPEED 2015 & GT Sport when they came out, the stupid reliant on an online consistant connection. This is what turned me off those two games as the glitches were so bad, cars started falling through the scenery and the load times were atroicious, constant timeouts etc.
This is a really bad game design, and an issue that PD did not forsee or even think about, but should take into serious consideration to rectify moving forward.
In my naivaty, I assumed the online aspect was for Sport or Multiplayer modes, but as many players seen today, we have ben crippled and it affects the career mode also, where we can only just log onto arcade mode (a pretty redundant offline mode) and music rally only available to us.
Now, I understand a patch such as this, where it be big or small needs to be tested, but not like this PD come on, it just shows that you rushed the progressive updating of the game to a level where they think our downtime is acceptable!
Anyway rant over, on a more positive note, I got gold on the Honda S800 - Fanatix MUSIC Rally which was fun.

its all good man. We all do what we want for different reasons. I'm sticking to my g29 and ps4 for now but once I can buy a ps5 I will just for gt7. Gran turismo sport was the only game I play on ps4. gt7 would be the only game I play on ps5. Plus I want to get a new wheel and pedals just for gt7. I have the money, I enjoy the game so why not.
