Well yeah... haha but last few days there will be a big push from most people to squeeze into top 20 or better there time, atleast it gives me time to get wheel practice....

Don't mind when it finishes as Marky said wheel practice is all I'm after currently, I know if I get worried about my time (Fall out of top 10) I can jump to the pad and put in a faster lap.

But I don't mind, 150 laps a day around the place for wheel practice is quite nice :) (Allows me to get that vital experience for knockout stages :D, on the wheel)

I reckon no one will improve much but you never know. Maybe it's like eBay bidders where there are 100's of ace drivers just waiting until the last ten minutes and will stick in a rapid time!! Nah, that could never happen:)

ahh my schedule has been stopped for this week lol :/ assignment due in Friday and a bit behind. On a brighter note 17.5 no aids on the wheel now so getting there slowly :D.

keep improving my time...yesterday I managed 2.17.377 and I'm in 11* position in Italy...hope it will be ok to be in top 20...if I'm not wrong my time is the third set with the pad =)

Any wild card events going on in Wales is it ? I hope they don't put any of the wild card guys in pole position if its a race format. :nervous:
So far we've had James who would definitely be able to qualify outright anyway and I really hope it carries on like that for obvious reasons.

Finally managed to get into the 17s last night with my pad. I can only manage to get one hour sessions in per day so I think Im doing quite well.

I would love to play as much as Tidgney, but by the time the national finals come he will have no eyes left LOL :sly: If he's not blind by then he will be very hard to beat. 150 laps per day with wheel jeez.

If I do get to nationals I will have no chance as I've never used a wheel for driving games.

Congratz Herbok on your pad time! Had to stop the 150 laps per day, the past 2 days fell behind on my assignment due in Friday although im back with a vengeance from tomorrow :), 150 laps ;). I wish I could be unbeatable though lol, going to be so hard for everyone trying to get through the knockout stages.

Gonna make an effort to put some practice in now, haven't played since monday and still need to get up to speed with the wheel, hoping for a top 10 miniumum by the end, 10 days to go guys!:)

Its the big push now!!! :D! Good luck everyone :)

Hi, just a quick question. I have a British ID but I live in Jordan, so I couldn't enter the comp. But there is a EU Academy simulation time trial for everyone else to try. I haven't practiced much yet, excuses, excuses, and clocked a 1:21.6

Would anyone know roughly what rank that would be in the EU comp. Top, 10,000?
cheers,

Got to play for an hour today, absolutly swamped with college work, could only manage a 2:17.8 :(

Don't worry man, I haven't been able to play too much recently and I hit a brick wall with around the same time. I could be at least 6 tenths up on it after the first 2 sectors and then completely fluff it every time at the end of the lap.

We are the only Irish guys that have been in the top 20 so let's try our best to represent our country 👍 Next week is still super tough for me too with college work and other events but I am determined to find some time to play and get those few tenths I need to be safe. Let's do this :)

Keep it at guys!, would be a shame if you dropped out of the top 20, just keep focused try to think of the positive outcomes after each lap. Perhaps just study a replay for 10 minutes or so, lines/important points.

At the moment I have pretty much hit my peak on the wheel of 17.2, its just about getting the practice to get to the 16's now as its just a tenth here and there, and had to totally relearn the first corner on the wheel.

Don't forget me! Have some time to spend at this later in the week but starting to feel like its slipping away from me now :nervous:
Last part of the track is killing me too and i can't seem to carry sufficent speed down the long back straight. At the split prior to that i'm within 3/10th's of EDDSKILL's time. Just have to keep at it and might get a jammy lap in :)

Motivation is getting a bit low, but need to keep cracking on, as I would love to experience the challenge of the national finals.

Anyone got an idea where the national finals will be held?? where where they held in previous years?

Last year they were at Brand's Hatch 👍

Haha where have you been lurking :sly:

Well hopefully you're able to improve too. It would be great to have a few of us representing Ireland at the nationals :dopey:

Nice read once again Maz! :).

My wheel is getting a bit squeeky and overheating a bit (Bit worried it will break but i'll keep going at the 6 hours a day :P). Couldn't do my last hour on the wheel of my 6 hours a day so changed to the pad and did an hour its strange really. I actually think that the controller sensitivity is very Over powered for this Time trial.

But my wheel consistency is improving constant .5's with my fast ones being .2's/.3's.

Dont think ill be making any more attempts, i think to still be over 0.25 above the cut off in my opinion ive as good as qualified. Fed up of the track, will be constantly checking the leaderboards though but unless i go to 22nd i dont think ill be making another attempt.

Hopefully you'll make it, it will be good to have 2 pad times to the nationals! :D. Its amazing how close the times are now though!
