Most racing series call for two wheels on the track surface, which includes curbs. Anything else is fair play.

Nope I dont believe it's the fastest line honestly your video dont prove anything. Sometimes drivers miss the point they want by 1-2 cm that's why they touch grass, but I never saw any touring car driver putting his 2 wheel on a long fast corner every lap in qualification. They are using tarmac because it's faster. Sure they'll hit grass form time to time but not in a regular way.

BTW for those interested, Round 3 will open on the 14.05.12.
 
I have also tried to log in the game but I diden't get anything either. Still have to figure out how to claim the rewards. (not that i'm so exited to drive that leaf again :P)
 
Was playing through till Server went down, I find it real fun to see how tight it is for these events! I'm using a Pad and I can straight away see the benefits of getting a Steering Wheel, I'll be in town tomorrow hunting one down for cheap. The Less Steering you have in a bend the better and you gotta hug those white lines so much so being 75th with a Pad I'm pretty happy with at the moment. Will see how everything is in the morning. Night all! 👍
 
Since the Game wasn't available on My Local PSN store yet, I downloaded it on My USA Account. Will it work on my Normal Account ? (United Arab Emirates, Region 2)

& am I the only person who Downloaded this with DiRT Showdown together ? :D
 
It worked for me. I'm from Finland but downloaded it through Uk account, and it works fine.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, you can do those challenges in both accounts to get 4 cars in total.
 
There is no point trying to improve your time, you only need bronze to progress. It isn't until round 8 when times will matter. Like I said before, they're just dragging it out.

Well there is people that like to run against leaderboard and I'm one of them ^^ Specialy when there is no tuning involved.
 
These events are surprisingly easy to gold. I guess it makes sense, if they were too hard there wouldn't be as many people playing. I'm just in it for the prize cars so I'm actually glad I can just breeze all of the events first time round. :lol:

Now I just have to wait for PD to let me have my Leaf and Silvia GT Academy versions in GT5 itself.

Hotlapping yes but 30 second challenges, many of which require no braking or even lifting the throttle? It's hard to get enthusiast or competitive with that.

edit: I also think thats the most people I've ever seen online amongst my friends lol, 41! Wonder if any of the full listed people have all of them online :D! Would be worth a photo!

Went out for a carvery came back to a finished download, so installing then I'll be on :)!

Yeah I agree those get boring pretty well, but there's still 4-5 challenge where I think I can gain some time so I'll go back to those.

Same here but I really don't have any desire to, I've already beaten the gold by two seconds on some of them, there is no challenge.

It's obvious they just included these easy challenges to get more people playing rather than just starting out with the serious hotlap challenges. Even the two challenges with AI you don't even have to finish first to get gold.

It's going to be a long wait for the serious racers waiting for those proper challenges though.
