Best of luck to all the finalists, I think you all can do it. I don't know who to root for more this year, I think you were all great. Hope nobody gets down on themselves, you guys are all top notch drivers and should be proud to make it and be in the top 16. Remember to have fun and enjoy every moment of it.
 
Is there a way to follow the progress, or is it all happening "behind closed doors"?

I do think it's a pity they are keeping the USGTA progress under wraps. I'd still watch the show even if I knew who won already.
 
It's all happening behind "closed doors"; I can confirm the winner won't be revealed until the finale of the TV show.

They tried that last year, but it's tough to keep secret due to having that "one guy out of the 16" that has a job and friends, then disappears for a few months to some unknown destination a week or so after the competition. :)

Let's see how they do this year with keeping it a secret. Anyone know how soon the show airs?

Yeah, but they did formally announce Bryan's win last year on the PS Blog. I agree, though, it's impossible to keep the winner under wraps due to all of the actual racing they'll have to do between now and when the show airs (I was also told it will air in November).

I'm pretty sure the 16 finalists have been asked to keep it under wraps until either the TV show or the public announcement by Nissan. The anticipation is killing me. Hope every one of them did their best and left it all out there.

I doubt they were "asked". More than likely it was a condition for participation. It's also possible they loaded it into the backend. Disqualification from any and all prizes if they don't keep the contest to the contest.
 
That sucks! How is it that we knew about Wolfgang on the day he won, but have to wait till November for our guys?? Me no likey to wait!

I don't think it will take that long. A little subtraction of who came home should tell us.

And even if it doesn't leak I'm sure the GTA sponsors will hand out some official press release at some point or another prior to the telecast. I expect it will be at least in the next 4 weeks but likely sooner.

I remember reading that the guys that are eliminated stay at a off site hotel and still get to participate in some of the activities, just not on camera. Just like any other reality show, people voted off don't return home until the entire show is finished.

I know right? The anticipation is nearly overtaking me soon!!! Yep, I hope everyone is giving their best out there.
 
One of the guys posted in our facebook page for us top 32 saying congrats to "Mr. Winner Pants" lol so I know one of them who didn't make it. Only 15 more to till we find out haha. Ohh the anticipation...
 
Well you guys still wont be able to deduce it. They're doing a really clever job in keeping it under wraps. But just so you know, there's no way to figure out who won by who came home, 'cause every one went home today regardless.

So just sit tight, it's gonna be a great show :)
