And im sorry but the 370z needs active steering, it handles like a Porsche 911 with out the engine in the back. Also, isn't active steering basically power steering in a real car? When you think about it, I mean with out feel like i'm driving a 1970 dodge challenger. But with it, it feels similar to what i feel in my actual car on a track like VIR for instance.

Unless you are driving a car with DSC (product of BMW), I super highly doubt that... The power steering setting is in the wheel option menu if you want that.

Well i got 1:31.163 (not sure where that would have ranked)while i was disconnected from the server, But man it's amazing how much time one corner can take off.

And congratulations to rack, that time is incredible, And im sorry but the 370z needs active steering, it handles like a Porsche 911 with out the engine in the back. Would be so nice if this challenge was a tuned Silvia..on suzuka with properly placed cones, Apex is basically obsolete.

I have to disagree with your active steering comment. I usually use it for all TT's. I disabled it a few days ago and my lap times are more consistant and I have better feel of the car. I am able to better drive the car and make it do what I want it to do.

After a 3 hour stint last night I managed to shave 0:00:009 from my best time.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

If they have invented a more frustrating activity than Gt Academy, I haven't found it yet (Golf is a close second though).

Top 32 of the U.S. move on. Minus the 16 U.S. finalists that made it to silverstone last year that are in the top 32 now. Russia Germany and Europe are all seperate acadamies I'm pretty sure and their qualifications in are different then the U.S. one.

Thanks for the response. 👍 That takes a tiny bit of pressure off. Still need to find about 1.3 or so seconds though.

You obviously do not have children. Lol.

EDIT: Nevermind. Learned to read.

Lol. I do the same thing.

Also decided i wasn't getting any better on my own last night so i turned on active steering. Boy once i got used to how to drive with it i was matching my best lap after lap. Hopefully now that i'm used to it i can knock off a few tenths and get back into the 32.

Is it true that many of the countries with GTA will not all be giving a racing contract opportunity but only some kind of cool package? Kind of like the indy500 trip a few years back here in the US.

Congrats to Rack on that awesome time. I also wanted to give everyone competing a digital high five. This is one heck of a competition and all the hours in front of the tv busting out lap after lap will all become worth it. Trust me when I say, enjoy the ride and enjoy the life long friendships that will hopefully develop in the next few months. Like Cheef said, enjoy the game and don't forget that everyone here has one thing in common no matter where they place in the end, and that's the love of racing.

Good luck to everyone, I will be cheering you boys on.

BTW, if you make it to Silverstone bring some Pepto!

Well, well, this is gonna be crazy. This time i will be able to play without being in the way of the competition. I really have no idea what kind of laptimes i can get in one day.

It will be the ultimate test to tell us how much the ghost is important or not.

To sum up my story: i´m attending Rio + 20 and i will be back home on saturday night, which gives me one day to play the academy.

Can´t wait!

How many people in the US are competing in this competition? If I am going to come 33 or 60 something, then I at least want to say I am some two digit number out of a much larger number.
