Talk about pressure, I'm leaving town on Friday night and won't be able to touch it after that, so whatever I have Friday night I have to stand on. It's going to be a very nerve wracking weekend!

I was feeling it bad yester my name just kept dropping like a rock lol. Was very relieved when a ran the .210 feel a little safer for right this second.

thats a great lap bro. definitely safe as of right now, hopefully it holds up

talk about nerves lol, I definitely changed any plans that were made or i had made just for this weekend. goodluck to ya. Definitely a lil time to gain to be totally safe IMO. I ran my 1.31.198 and wiggled bad coming out of last turn shaking so bad:banghead::banghead::banghead: I'll get back to it if I absolutely have to, that just depends how much pressure the guys below us wanna push on.

Welcome to the pressure, boys. :sly:

You think you're feeling pressure now, just wait until Sunday.
Pressure? Pfft. When you're in the high 31s, the only thing I feel is hunger for more time for pride's sake.

That, and the urge to key a Z in a Nissan dealership.

Im in the same boat, I have to leave Friday afternoon. I bodged my ps3 for the next few days, doing a reflow using a blow dryer and an air conditioner. Here goes nothing!

Ps: just got a .238, finally improvement!

I truthfully dont even know if .3's will make it at this point i mean .2's go all the back to like 20th place right now. Things have tightened up for sure. I will probably run some more laps tonight and try and break into 31 flat to 31.1's hopefully then i will feel way better and confident.

Best of luck to everybody this week!

A quick word: Don't forget to have fun playing this game and being a part of this competition. It's easy to get caught up in the lap times and the competition and forget that the reason you started playing GT in the first place was because you enjoyed it. Anyway, It's absolutely worth putting in the time and effort to give yourself a shot at getting as far as Silverstone, it was an incredible experience that's changed my life; Just remember to have fun with it too!

Cheers!

thanks for the kind words. watching the academy last year really put some motivation in for me, didn't even know about it till after the fact it was all over. I would be beside myself to go that far and was definitely a blast watching you guys compete all week long. that final 4 race looked very intense and close. can only imagine the pressure it was.

Regarding who gets to move on.

Does anyone know if it's the top 32 times over all or is it going to be split between regions?
I've seen it listed both ways so wasn't sure which was correct. Sorry if this has already been answered, but my search didn't turn up a definitive answer.

It would be nice to know exactly what time one would need to get to the next round.

I'm in the 33's as well though it may be hard to get in the 31's with out a clutch. I'm still going to give it my best.

Top 32 of the U.S. move on. Minus the 16 U.S. finalists that made it to silverstone last year that are in the top 32 now. Russia Germany and Europe are all seperate acadamies I'm pretty sure and their qualifications in are different then the U.S. one.

You make it sound like all 16 of us are hanging out in the top 32, when it's actually only a few. Last I checked I had fallen to 50th because I haven't touched it since last Wednesday.

Edit: Cool there's a couple guys in here from AZ that are near the top. 👍

didn't want it to sound that way, was just telling him how it was, dunno how many of you guys are up there and trying, just stating a fact

1'30.998!!!!!!!!!

Damn that feels good.

thats awesome, think you can relax a little now.

Yeah man great going!

Somebody give this man a Hulk Hogan guitar solo, he's the best in the U.S.!

Got it*

Well i got 1:31.163 (not sure where that would have ranked)while i was disconnected from the server, But man it's amazing how much time one corner can take off.

And congratulations to rack, that time is incredible, And im sorry but the 370z needs active steering, it handles like a Porsche 911 with out the engine in the back. Also, isn't active steering basically power steering in a real car? When you think about it, I mean with out feel like i'm driving a 1970 dodge challenger. But with it, it feels similar to what i feel in my actual car on a track like VIR for instance.

Would be so nice if this challenge was a tuned Silvia..on suzuka with properly placed cones, Apex is basically obsolete.
