GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

The race nor the TT was that difficult in my opinion. Come on, if a crippled up old man can do these without no problems, you younger generation should be able to fly through these events with no problems at all, lol.
Another old man here agrees with you. đź‘Ť I also cannot understand how people seem to be having such difficulties with the Lambo seasonal. fwiw I used default tuning settings in both cases.

If you try to get gold then you can see why it hard

 And from another oldie - with a DS3 - and only ABS1 - thogh it took slightly longer than usual:ill:

What do you think I was doing, just out on a Sunday drive or something, lol. Of course I was trying to get gold, lol....not that hard. I also used the default tune with just ABS 1. I'm no alien or super driver, just average. Yes, I have noticed that these have become slightly more challenging, but nothing that overwhelming. Took me a couple extra tries, thats it. Actually, I wish they would make them harder still. Just helps me further develope my skill level. The harder the better.

In your License Tests, how many are gold? Guessing all 60. That's not "average", that would be above average. I think having a majority of Silver would be average. To have all gold would be exceptional. I am a silver driver.

DO NOT think I'm attacking you, because you should know now that I'm not. Your crippled arse would whip my blind arse on the track any day!

(wow what a finish to the Nationwide race! I think Kevin rolled over for Ricky Bobby)

Thanks Dave for the compliment, appreciate it my friend. Even tho I do have above average stats, I still just consider myself average. Maybe I'm just being humble or underestimating myself but I just don't think I'm all that good. I still have a long ways to go to get where I want to be as a virtual racer. I practice many hours daily and hopefully someday it will pay off.

And yea, I think Harvick gave that one away.

I'd have to agree with Dave there Cargorat.

Even if you don't have all gold in the licenses, your dedication and determination to get better at this, regardless of age or disabilities, marks you as above average.

I'm finding the TT much harder than the previous 7. But then Nurb has never been anywhere near my favorite tracks list and it takes me several laps on any track with any car to get used to and put down a best lap. I just know I've not had this kind of time investment with any of the other TTs. I'm up to silver after about 3 hours of effort, diddling my tune or trying others. All the others took less than an hour to gold and I used all stock cars. Maybe that's what I need to do with this one too.

I agree with the tt.its not one one of those fake tracks which need several laps to get use to,it's a track that it's in the game and it's one of those track which people think that they like or hate.i love nurburgring because it's a track that you can tune cars and race with some challenge added to it.thats what make this track so good.

Thanks Dragon, appreciate your kind words also. And yes, there have been many long practice sessions for me well into the night and morning hours. On a few occasions, I have even fallen asleep in my Playseat, lol. Just trying to be the best I can be.

@GTP_CargoRat:
You, like me, judge yourself by the aliens. Try as we will we never will be them. You have improved as much in the last year (probably less, I can't remember when I first saw your avatar) as I have since childhood. Your skills are nothing to scoff at and place you in the top 1% of the population at large, if not here in GTP.

Keep up the good work my friend.

On topic: the race took me several hours and continuous improvements to my personal tune.
I started 18 seconds back, then 12, 7, 4, 0.5, 1.1. Then kept bouncing abound 1.1 to 0.1 seconds behind first. After 300+ miles I finally gave the car an oil change and that apparently gave it enough hp to catch up to first enough to pass him on the last corner. Just to prove it wasn't a fluke I did it twice more in a row.
Man, I love the 'Ring.

I would consider myself an average driver, I golded all of the gt academy rounds except the last one, I got silver, so I borrowed the 370z fully tuned to do this seasonal and I am struggling. I got 2nd place in the race using SRF and I just totally fail at the time trial without SRF, I can't keep it on the track, I did finish one of my invalid laps and I was 12 seconds from bronze. So the people saying this is easy I would say you are definitely above average drivers.

Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum đź‘Ť
Only had time to do the TT but it was rather easy, used lldantell's lsd and suspension tune, put a little bit more downforce on both front and rear and top speed was set to 280kmh (about 175mph).
Did two quick laps in and came to a 7:40, with a little more practice I should shave of about 10sec.
Should mention that Nurb is my favourite track in the game, did 500+ laps grinding some of the seasonals. Track knowledge is the most important to clear gold in this event!

Yes, my time is 7:32 with "stock" car (without engine and weight tuning).
I use this tune: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7555901#post7555901

Thanks for sharing the tune  I'm going to give it a go when I'm finished doing the Lambo seasonals.

Kwicko
Race, yes. Time Trial, some have, but not me. Not yet, anyway.

 In some way this is funny because I did golded the TT but was unable to gold the race. I prefer doing the races with stock cars but since it seemed unable. I'm going to give the tune a go and hopefully I'll win the damn race :)

Good luck everyone!

I realize that this may NOT be the place (forum) to ask, but; Speaking of getting Gold in the Licenses Tests, is there a Forum for that? I still do Not have all Gold and would like to try harder with some help/guidance for those who have?

Havent time till now to drive the TT, managed 7.42 the first round...stock...grandparents rest till tommorow, after that i will have time to improve and tune

Has anyone finished the race in 1st position yet?

Yes, I have, several times. I keep doing it over and over as I think this is a good event to use to improve your skill level. There are several events in the game I use as part of my daily practice session and this has become one of them.

@ Ronald: Thanks for your kind words aswell. Even tho I still think of myself as average, I really appreciate the compliments and good words from my peers and fellow competitors. Having the respect of my competitors and friends really means more to me than some lap time. Thanks you guys.

I love this car because it handles like a dream right now.no more snap oversteer now.this time you got controllable oversteer and a little bit of understeer.it could go around the fast corner full speed and it go around that corner like it not even there.fantastic car

I can't get the gearing to match up with your tune, and you had to have done weight reduction to get to that weight. What gives?

^ I had to set the initial final to 4.907 to hit the gear ratios as shown.

May have been a difference in horsepower output, not really sure.

I think the power need to be 429 hp or 344 hp and yeah I did use weight reduction to get down to that weight

Anyone one here got a psn name called blueskyhawk because I got your friend request and the car is on share
