Now THIS (370Z tuned) time trial was enjoyable at the Ring. The back end can get a little squirrelly at times, but fun nonetheless. Finally able to drive one of these GTA cars around a real track made it more interesting. No offense to the made up tracks they had us time trialing, but knowing a course beforehand makes it so much better. I've run a heck of a lot of laps around the Ring recently, and have come to love it. Ran only 1 lap totally stock, 1:39.135. There's much time to be made up. I plan on working over this time trial for a while. 
I don't plan on being near the top though, as I don't want to tune my cars by adding things that I can't take back off.

I noticed when I was running the race around the 'Ring earlier, that no matter how fast I went, when I caught the 2nd place car, the lead car was always the same 5.xxx second distance away and seemed to have more speed than the rest of the field.
Took 4 attempts to get gold. And with the time I set on the race I won, it would have won me the race by 4+ seconds on my 2nd attempt, and 3 seconds on my 3rd attempt.

Well, the longest TT and by far the easiest. With just a couple of power upgrades and reduced engine power, no tuning I was able to get a 7:42.892. Not massively great, but good enough. I thought the race was tougher, only won that by 00.015 of a second on the short run to the finish line.

Me too... but quite happy to see a Ring challenge (and surprised to not see another custom track)

Had they not used Motegi in Round 6 I would have guessed that as well. I was surprised (pleasantly) that the TT was not on a generated track.

The 370z tuned GTA TT is surprisingly easy with stock settings, 7:46.xxx with a rather relaxing drive, and numerous slides around corners. I am guessing with bone stock car , it could make into 7:40 or less.

Yes, I was referring to the time trials for the seasonals all being on the fantasy tracks, until this one at least.
