yeah chears man, but am really gutted,especially after reading that in france they DID drive with the updated(1st august) version....all times driven today here in holland where 3-4 seconds off the pace we now do....:ouch:


but he,had a good day though:)

That "theDoctor" guy may be a fraud but he's fast indeed! :eek: I wonder why didn't he compete in France...

Spyrrari, that was sheer bad luck :ouch: , the contestants must have been really good to keep you away from Silverstone 👍
 
Spyrrari, sorry to hear you didn't make it - I know exactly how it feels to come 5th by a small margin (and to be a tall dude in one of those seats!)
 
jep,they where good indeed,but i think i whas so dissapointed with all i discribed in my previous post,i couldn't believe it really whas the way it whas....i wanted to push as hard as i could,but with all the bs going on,i guess i just wasn't relaxed enough to show what i really can do..................
but this is just after talk and i will shut it now,girlfriend made me happy:sly:


i dont think the doctor guy whas/is a european at all...but thats just a wild guess,maybe a real racing driver...who knows man,fast he is/whas indeed:tup:

Exactly the same for me - just couldn't relax and get the tension out of my arms enough to go anywhere near as fast as I know I can. Handling pressure and doing it on the day is a massive part of this competition though.
 
handling pressure and doing it on the day is one thing,but that whas not my point really mate,the dissapointment in the whole format made me somehow disbelieve that they where actually serious about the whole thing...
i talked to the judge there after the warm up and asked him why they did not have the updated version of the game,his answer whas:...hhuuwww,dont know,update??from what...version??its a game isn't it??dont know spyrrari,just enjoy yourself dude...........

you can imagine this was not a good start of the finals for me....than after i made it to the last 12,he said all had to drive on standart mode....than i talked to oneother judge and he convinced the headjudge to stay with pro mode........

so,yeah it is pressure for sure,but for a slightly different reason for me......



anyway,am smiling again and still loving the game verry much,so nothing changed there....

I see what you mean. I think most people at the UK final were disappointed with the way the competition was set up and the general lack of knowledge about the game that was displayed by those running it. It just served to add unnecessary pressure in an already unfamiliar environment.

Anyway, good that you've got a positive attitude and you're still smiling. 👍

I'm sure that kind of organizing is NOT, what PD, Nissan, and Sony wanted. I'm afraid that our finals are going to be just that same in Finland.

1: SolarSystem
2: Steffan

It was a great national final! thanks to all the dutchies, and i hated the final with Split screen with N3 Tires I really messed up there... nothing to do with racing.. more like curling and Ice skating lol
Great Job to my brother who beated pro "steffan" in the head to head battle..
He is not a time trail guy... my brother is a racer.. Thats why he beated Steffan.... My brother has BIG BIG balls :P
shame i didnt make top 3 but... 4th place is good also... considering i started 19th in the first round...(ok i drove with the old school DFP, but my brother is insanely fast with that wheel also with a sick time of 1.20.6)

I asked the guy and he told me that the FI final will be driven without the update.. I also asked him to tell every participant about this. I just can't believe this sh**! I've asked him many questions before and many have been not answered. So if this was a question to be answered, could it have been told to us a few days earlier.. not the day before the final. UNBELIEVABLE... well, I guess it's just a game and we should just enjoy ourselves. Who minds about the 200 000e of prices + the whole experiment altogether. :yuck: :indiff: :dunce:

I have mailed two times to organisers, and asked some questions about finals. No answers... maybe two weeks is not enough time, and they are very busy cause organising our competition perfectly. :indiff:

good drivers can race a good race, no matter what... a update has nothing to do with the physical skills (of a human, not a game) of driving a race car...
A good driver can adjust his self to the situation.

So stop the whining guys..

If u didnt finished high on the rankings it isnt about the update... its because you are simply not good enough.. I finished 4th because of a psychological race between my school (i have to pass my final exam on the last week of august, or my future comes on the line.. so if i made top 3 I would have probably said no to the judge because i cant compete in silverstone. If my exam was on the same date as silverstone) and a verry psychological final race on N3 tires against my brother, he didnt felt well yesterday. I messed up there.. he messed up...but i made one mistake too much. It was a horrible race.. If he was in top condition yesterday.. it would'nt have happpend that we raced against each other in the final. I was the better guy on the national final but the psychological things ruined my final.. so the top 3 are the best and the absolute winners of GT academy Holland... my brother beated me in a fair battle.. i was eleven seconds ahead.. i hoped on a fair and fun battle against brothers... but he messed up after he passed my GT-R on the fast right hander on suzuka.. i couldn't believe he messed up.. that's why i messed up.. and made a mistake..i wasnt racing anymore.. and then he made a mistake again... and i made a mistake again...one to much..he won.. it was a mind game... horrible

And dont get me wrong there guys... i didnt manipulated the final results... its just that racing comes to a mind thing sometimes... and thats what failed me to make top 3..
And my brother beated steffan in the winners final.. well deserved.. Solar System absolutely whooped steffans nerdy ass! steffan drove with racing line on...steffan forgets that you dont have a racing line in silverstone...and driving in a real race car is just much different than in a game. And i dont really like to pull some guy into the ground.. but racing with a driving line on ruined my relationship with steffan.. He should stick to need for speed.. A real man drives clean and with no help at all..

And i did win yesterday i was the winning driver of the last 8th.. 2nd was solarsystem 3rd was steffan..That was my goal.. to finish top 10.. 4th place is the best place i could ever had dreamed..

So you don't think a race of this magnitude should be fair? Why the competitors should not know the influencing facts? Is it fair to 8 of 20 to practise with a Porsche and other 12 with a Ferrari, not knowing what they'll be driving at the final? Do you think that the ones that practised the right car would have an advantage? Would you call that fair? Because, that is mainly the situation here. I'm not whining about some minor detail, and if you think this or the previous post was whining, that's your opinion, and so be it. But that is a major factor when losing a Silverstone trip by 0.08 sec... you can ask spyrrari about this. If I lose feeling that it was my own doing = I sucked, it is completely fine with me. And I agree that the best man will win it. BUT, I want it to be fair.

Reading your situation, it's easy to see that it's no a big deal to be 4th for you. And you are already waiting for the next chance. lol. There are people who want to give this chance the best shot they can. 👍 And I happen to know that there are people who want to get to silvertstone FAR more than I do. (I hope that won't ruin it for them)

If the next chance comes for you, I'm guessing that you want it to be fair? 💡

And btw, why to enter the national final if so sure not to be able to participate @ Silverstone? :dunce: People with your attitude towards the competition will always lose. Remember that when you get your second chance.

Am I reading that correctly?? Someone had the racing line on?????? I wasn't even allowed to use kph never mind the racing line. I had no idea what speed I was doing going into the corners and you couldn't judge it on noise because they wouldn't turn the volume up.

2nd. There are things in life that I dont know in first place.. I didnt know I was this good.. at example..I entered the competition in 19th place (!) 5th I dont like the august Update at all.... the online mode is boring... there is nothing to do... the professional races are punters heaven... The penalty system still sucks... If i get rammed... i get a penalty:crazy: Yeah right!
