gt academy stage 2, what will it be?

i hear you there tre...the dates are choosen very unfortunately for some..
just beceause i am curious,why would it cost you 500 euros for the trip???i know norway is a big-ish country,but 500 euros....i can buy a ticket to new york and back for that amount of money...

It's the cost of plane tickets (can't be bothered to drive), transportation from the airport to the venue, loss of income, and then return. It's estimates mind you, but I'm pretty sure I'm not that far of. Norway is a very costly country.

It's not like I can't afford to go, it's just that my company will not let me off for a Thursday and the fact that I'm not that keen on spending that kind of money for what is basically a a 4 hour competition and then the round trip as well. If it where for the weekend I would be in a totally different position.

And it doesn't matter now anyway as I have given my place onto someone else.

The UK had all travel expenses paid (round trip), and two nights in 5 star hotel (£350 per night) with an invited guest of your choice to keep you company. ???
 
Dont forget that the 3 national final winners have to commit to a week in England for the Silverstone round, and then the 2 who go through from that will basically need to live over here to race until the end of the year. Its a cool competition, and the prize really is life changing.

In France we asked them if its possible to refund the travel and they said that they can...so phone to them.

The germans in the GT5net got some information counting the participants in the first round of GT academy to 34 000. Lots of people man. Endet 5th in norway and are going for Oslo the 14th of august..:)

I have photos of the leader boards at the end of each round of time trials showing everyone's positions and times. You can make out all the times except the ones for the 4 that went out after round 2. I haven't posted the photos as I don't know how people would feel about having their names on the forum. I know the majority of everyone's online IDs but there's a few I'm not sure of so I can't do a full translation. Maybe I can post up what I do know and we can fill in the blanks?

Might be able to help you work out a few names ID's.
 
So,just came home from the dutch finals....

missed the semi's by 0,07 seconds:ouch:

few things before i will have a bear...

1:they used old psysics,the ones from early this year,so everybody who practiced the last 11days where flying all over the place....including me:ouch:
2:driving 3 laps with cameras in your face (3 feet away is not enjoiable at all....:ouch:
3:they should have tolld us to bring headphones beceause the sound from the lcd tv's whas horrible soft....
4:the seats where not adjustible enough...for taller guys like me,we had to drive with our toes allmost squatting on the chair, beceause otherwise i would have to brake and throttle with my heels!!!!!....
5:it whas verry nice to meet all the guys and had a good time talking and swapping experiences with everybody who i met there:):)👍👍

so,it whas a nice experience but am gutted by missing the semi finals!!!!should have been 0,08 seconds faster...hahaha,though the guys who went through totally deserve it and i wish them all the best at siverstone,well done !!!!!!.....

oh yeah,one more thing,the guy who was first in europe during the first time trail named "theDocter" was a guy from france who got a dutch passport via the dutch embassy in paris....strange but tru,and offcourse he was not there today....
