indeed davissi,it would be so sad if ANY of the 20 contestants next week will have an advantage just beceause he is running as one of the last ones ,and being able to totally adjust his driving to what he has just seen all the others do wrong or wright ....it would just be unfair...!!!!
if ,for example, i would go last,i would have initially the best chance of winning beceause i know than what phisics the game is played on,what mistakes others have made on what part of the track, and what time i have to beat!!....

this way who ever starts last has a huge advantage for sure...

as we will have some time at the place next tuesday before the final actually starts, maybe i or we(other dutchies who are reading this)could throw up a quick vote to what to do,and first consult the organisers offcourse!!.....

first-as remmahegdels allready said before-lets see what they have come up with there and than....

spyrrari.

ps:thanks davissi for your imput.

anybody knows something about Italian Final?

who are the winners ??

1- Gioboy
2- me
3- Giagua

4 playseats, the others were asked to stay in another room, even in the semifinals (but in this case there was a bravia that showed what was going on)
See ya 👍

thanks Djie:sly:

...thanks for the post...now all can go practice....

the only thing we dont know ...

is the game the updated one or the one before august 1st.....

guess we know soon:)

The program for the Dutch finals are posted on the dutch Gran Turismo 5 site! Its starts from 13:00 to 18:00. There races will be the same to Germany etc...

Good luck to all Dutch Drivers!

Is this an official statement posted on an official site, or is it purely speculation?

I do understand it,but it doesn't look very official to me at second glance.....
i will send Djie a pm so he can explain...

As the site is a fan site it will not all be official. But i got the timetable from the (marketing) department of Sony along with my press invitation! So the timetable and the rounds are correct and official... the rest is based upon the facts from other countries!

That is it speculation... at least that's what he said. Hooray for the Dutchies !

BTW: Had a G25 (still have btw)... but i bought a DFP yesterday to get used with it. And i couldn't set good times on Suzuka untill... active stabily management OFF... LOL ! First 3 seconds behind NR.1 now 0.7 secs.

and when you come to the final next tuesday they will have only DFGT wheels....ouch mate, very ouch....

spyrrari.

ps:but offcourse when they have only dfp wheels you would have an advantage, but the chance for that is IMO verry slim.

Wow, I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't realise this info is widely known and turns up to a final without practising. They are raptus regaliter as they say.

ps,your brother back from hollyday in time??👍

Nothing auch... i was used to g25 and now i have a wheel that is like a plastic toything. So i drive a couple of days with less and will drive at the final a slidly better wheel than the dfp.

As an invited guest who is privy to the timetable and the subsequent rounds, do you not think that this privilege is best kept behind closed doors for the purpose of fair play for all competitors and not just those who visit your site?

Also, I'm concerned that your detailed schedule for the Dutch National Final may mislead competitors into thinking that the entire schedule is factual when in fact it clearly isn't. Although somewhat remote, I hope for your sake that Sony do not change the format due to your detailed publication.

Indeed they could be. Excuse the pun, but they could also find themselves there without a paddle.

Thanks for your concerns but i have described the facts of the information in the message in Dutch. I state that that the timetable is for the non competitors and the races mentioned is speculated based on the other national finals. The message is just a collection of information completing the puzzle.

So you were right! ..how many from Norway will go to the next round?
Probably the same number as for every other country, 3.

To be honest, when number 30 gets through something is wrong. And for the Norwegian final it is pretty clear that the chosen date is the problem. The 14th of August is a Thursday and how many people not living near Oslo has the option to go to the finals due to work etc. Personally I would have needed to spend something like 500 euros (785 dollars) just getting there and home again. And is it worth that kind of money when you most likely won't even get through to the next round? If the finals where on say a Saturday you could make it a weekend trip meeting online friends and it would be different, your result wouldn't matter that much. As it stands it’s basically all or nothing. And for us living a good distance from Oslo an expensive one at that.

Personally I ended up 12th in the Norwegian leg, but then again I didn’t drive the last 2 weeks of the competition as I was on holiday in England for those. I reckon that with driving those weeks I could have ended up somewhere around 5th. But that doesn’t matter as the chosen day for the finales unfortunately is a no go.

And so it is as far as I know for a few other Top 20 finishers. jakkim (our number 2) is out due to holiday commitments, Storskarv is out due to holiday commitments, tre (me) is out and vicheous is out. So at least 4 out of the top 20 are out, and there are probably more. Except for jakkim we are all out of the gtracer.no contingent so there are probably more who have had to decline their entrant.

Fortunately we also have the number 1 driver, GT-Speedy, who won the Norwegian first leg. And as I have seen him myself in action in various Norwegian PS2/PS3 rally championships I’m pretty sure that he will be the Norwegian man to beat.

GT-Speedy FTW!!!
