Sabine is the hawtest woman on the face of the planet bar none!

I'd make a complete arse of myself if I was ever in her company. :embarrassed:

Those are cool pics David, congratulations on your performance on the day mate 👍

All the best
Maz

Everything I've seen of the UK finals has been fantastic which bodes really well for the boot camp at Silverstone next week. It's looking quite promising that a GTP member will progress to stage 4 and eventually win it, fingers crossed it's John or Alex, good luck guys.

As the "GT Academy National Finals" thread hasn't been updated with the UK results and videos, can we expect more footage from this week? :)

EDIT: Sorry I got your names wrong guys!

Thanks Maz you're a heck of a nice guy I wish I'd have chatted a bit more to you I was kinda talking more to the people I already knew. I didn't see any of your races because I didn't know who was who but it seems like you had some great races too judging by those vids ! Nice one :)

P.S. @evilneal its John Moorby and Alex Ingram that made it to Silverstone.

Doh! I thought I would add the personal touch, should have checked or stuck to PrudentBear and Ingram :dunce: Either way big congrats 👍

Maz's account of the day was fantastic, Sony would do well to invite you to Silverstone :) All the write ups by the competitors have also been great so thanks for posting, just getting a glimpse of the event has been special.

👍👍

Welcome back Alex, and well done mate 👍👍

By the way... I'd like to call the GTP race admins attention to your sig... DIV2 FFS... I demand you are immediately promoted to DIV 1!

Haha thanks! In defence of the GTP race admins, I'm better at the racing than the TTs :sly:

Dean - My bandwagon has plenty of room for media types, and indeed anyone else who wishes to jump on it. I need to start a fanbase from somewhere!

I've lost count of how many times you've done similar to me when playing on GT2, GT3 etc...

You're a big reason why I am so confident in my racecraft, and indeed why I was able to reach the finals in the first place, so a huge thanks to you :)

To the guys in the final. Did Jardines commentary put yous off? I enjoyed his commentary but just wanted to know from your point of view.

No mate it was fine, I'm glad he was commentating because it allowed people to know what was happenning and brought great atmosphere to it. The loudest noise in my ear was my own engine that's the main thing.

I'm actually hanging on to the harnesses because there's zero leg room for a 6'4" lanky sod like myself... therefore legs akimbo and no where to wedge my hands/arms to stop them flying around.... plus my helmet was banging against the roll cage... gripping the harnesses like that keeps you firmly in place under the cornering and braking loads :D

Although half way round the 1st lap I also did my straps up to the point where I was struggling to breath.

And although the facial expression makes me look like an even bigger tool than normal, I'm actually saying (shouting) 'Oh, so much grip' to Lucas as we drop down from the apex of Paddock Hill... it was nice :D

Had the same problem being an inch smaller:), paddock hill bend was sure a suprise first time around:yuck: lol but was fun, will never forget it, class day.

"GT Academy national final, location: Brands Hatch. Round two race 1 at Daytona Road from davissi's screen" 👍

Cheers John, looking forward to watching that later 👍

EDIT: Class, you made it look easy 👍

I haven't forgotten you guys. I'll be adding all videos and a group photo to the main discussion thread as soon as I've completed (as much as possible) the other countries.

Blue car Alex Ingram, Red car Alex Porazinski. Not sure who the Yellow car was ??

Hi David

Im the driver of the red car! Alex Porazinski is the yellow car. i was thinking ill sit behind you & alex and let yous do the work then i got turn 1 horribly wrong & thats were my gt academy ended!

Yep, I'm the yellow car there in that semi final race. Turn one was fun, turn 3 was hairy (the leaders braking caught me out, I held my hand up and apologised during the race!), so I was 4th going into 5. I got on the gas a bit early, and ended up chasing the rear off the track. Luckily she didnt spin, but it left me a long way behind. I was gifted 3rd in that race.

If I could run one race again, that would be the one!

Congratulations to all that get to go SilverStone!

PS. Way off topic. Does anybody know what horsepower the real GT4 Cup car(370Z) is making?

I've read somewhere (probably on FIA page) that it uses the VQ38HR engine (the same as the GTR, I think) running naturally aspirated 380hp.
