GT Photomode 2.0 Competition ~ Week 88 ~ closed

Holy cow that's nice. Two weeks in a row with
jaw-dropping.gif
shots.

LdS: Nice shot. excellent sense of speed. I feel like I'm moving just looking at it. the cars contrast well, and they are sharp. However, (there seems to always be one) the simple composition also underscores the quality. Makes it look....well...simple. I think it's the background. It's so uniform, so singular in it's composition, that it undercuts the quality of the photo a bit.

Swiss: This is extremely good. The cars contrast well, they looks like street racing cars (bodee kits N all y0!) and the vibrant background contributes to the "Night racing" feel. The only real fault is that the cars need to switch sides of the road. since the Skyline is white, it should be, to me, in the darker area, where the S2000 is. the S2000, being darker in colour, should head into the skyline's place, where there is vibrant colour, and bright whites to offset it.

Just the way I sees things boys. Both excellent pictures, no doubt. 👍

Thank you for the great comments guys. 👍 👍

Tupacrulez, I liked your review. You almost hit the nail in the background thing. I don’t think the simple background undercuts the image, on the contrary. My main focus was the battle between the two cars, so I didn’t want any distraction from the background that could move your eye away from the cars. But I think that something is wrong with my picture, something doesn’t bend well, between the cars and the background. But thanks again. 👍

Anyway, I think it will be a sure tie between TW and Swiss. 👍

I was hoping that alexwrc would enter (don’t you have any battle with the permitted type of cars in a city course that you haven’t used before?)

I think Lds' background is great, but there is something about the Celica's position or shadows of both cars that seem to misplace them, it's as if they were pasted onto the background. But on that, lovely blurring, nice rim blur as well, definitly a hard entry to beat 👍

I've got to say Swiss has also done a wonderful job though, I love the choice of cars, and the blur is perfectly done...

Hard choice indeed...

Thanks for the critiques and comments on that shot! I'm glad it was well received. It took quite a bit of time.
@ LdS That shot would've been completely perfect if the car layer(s) and the background layer were blended together better. If there were more shadows under the car, i think it'd be more realistic. The lighting of the background doesn't quite match that of the cars imo. Still, the cleaning is awesome it's still one of the best from you as I said before.:D:tup:
