GT Photomode 2.0 Competition - Week 95 - CLOSED

Dude, that's exiting news! đź‘Ť

Daddy drives a Mustang, what a lucky sod eh?

Definitly keep us updated of this news! :)

Thanks Bram! Daddy does drive a mustang. And one day, it will be my boy's. Or I will make my little girl like cars in case I don't have a boy

That is very exciting news indeed!

Thanks bud. I'm quite excited.
Love the entry. Soo clean....

Wow, so many tutorials in the sticky post, and I even have put up a new one in my gallery and everybody asks here in the competitions :dunce:

 it only takes 2 minutes (depending on their connection speeds) to look for them in the photomode galleries  just needs a bit of effort. a very little one.

Lovely work Swiss, but why keeping the image so small? I was looking forward to the larger size only to find out it's no larger than 500 pixels :indiff:

I checked into that, apparently, I had photobucket set up to reduce the size when I uploaded to a file size of 1MB instead of 1024x768(its highest setting for resolution)
Normally this is fine for jpeg, the size stays under 1MB, but .PNG's don't! I forgot to change that option in photobucket when I switched from JPEG to PNG.
Should be at my standard 1000x750.

I might have a shot I can use of a Delta, but I don't know yet. I'll post if I can't get it done, otherwise assume I'm still working on it.

first time to cleaning but don't worry - it has NOTHING on you guys:drool:

Final Entry

EDIT: Re posted legal entry with no add ons such as lens flare and supernovas

I tried as hard as I could to preserve the 43degC working conditions without the add ons, but I don't think I pulled it off - though I do think it's looks slightly cleaner.

Every time I tried to save, some of the quality went which meant every time I had to go back over what I had already done - even though I set the quality to 100%. Any one know how to fix this on GIMP?

UBER good entries guys:tup::dunce::drool: If I can reach this level of PS manipulation, I'll eat my hat.

I say we go back to whoever wrote the rule book a billion years ago to see what they meant.:P

Maybe whoever might come to you. ;) The general rules for posting pictures came about during PMC Round 2 after Round 1 was a "mess." The original idea was to have your entry as a small thumbnail, supplemented by a 400*300 preview image or two honorable mentions of the thumbnail size. Eventually everything pretty much switched over to use of the 400*300 preview image with nothing else. As far as changing entries, it was accepted to edit your original entry with your new entry and a new post linking back to the old post denoting that you had changed your entry. Or you could just edit out your old entry and post the new one in the new post. It really works out the same. Granted most of these rules are in reference to the PMC competition, but most of these other competitions have adopted them in bits and pieces.

With that said, I'm going to throw my hat into the ring here. There's always some room for some old iron.

Too many supernovas for some but it was 43 deg C in Sydney and maybe I was trying to express that in this.

i wish i could help you with that mate, but i honestly couldn't figure it out when it started happenning to me. i'd say make the switch to photoshop. coz gimp does tend to do that, i still dont know why. anyways great work on the saleen đź‘Ť you did nail that mid afternoon scorching sun! very shiny. it's a far cry from your previous work. good one mate!

Despite of having too many lens flares, counting that it is your first time cleaning is really good. You improved greatly since last time and in a short period of time. Although, and I must sadly say, that I think Lens Flare are not within the rules of the 2.0. Swiss has the final word about this, of course.

I'm a little bit rusty on my cleaning having not done it in so long so I apologise for that!

Still looking as good as ever Moglet! đź‘Ť

So how have you been in the past few weeks? I've heard your job didn't turn out to a start...

I feel more confident about this newer entry.

Since I missed LdS' post, I might as well use this post to put in something :indiff:

That is a very awesome entry 80Y. The best from you so far. However lens flares are not allowed in this comp.
In the rules:
[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]
You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original
subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image.

I good workaround for the lens flare is to use the dodge tool, use it at various sizes, and get the whole spectrum, highlights, midtones and shadows. With a little practice, it can look great.
Sorry for this rule mate, I hate to have you rework your shot.

With that said, I'm going to throw my hat into the ring here. There's always some room for some old iron.

This is correct. Lens Flares not allowed. Many have been asked to change the entry in the past. (including me) Should I put this specifically in the rules? Or is it covered under:
"do not alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image."

 You have done my favorite car well Moglet. đź‘Ť

Nice entry from you to skyline, however, the car looks like it has been pasted into the background. I think if you give a little more shadow around the car on the road and what not it'll stick the car to the background, making it more realistic imo. But great blur and way to show off the highlights of the car and surroundings đź‘Ť

I think you might've Smart Blurred the front bumper a bit too much, but the rest looks great đź‘Ť

I've never used Smart Blur....

All of my editing is done using selected areas and then careful Lens Blurring. I left some of them oversharp though, I couldn't be bothered to clean them up fully.

Ahem, by "bumper" I meant the grill area. Go use smart blur too much and you'll see what I mean.

The 500 doesn't have a grille! ;) Do you mean the front bumper by the chrome bars? I've opened the image and tried using Smart Blur but it just makes the image have sharper edges when I do it! What version of Photoshop are you using?

Looking good Moglet, great tones. I need to get used to the weird look of the blur though, you don't see many multi point blurring often these days. Some parts of the car are a little edgy, but it's really something đź‘Ť
