Not a great lap really, I didn't have much time for this.
And I don't have the Carbon-R ready either :irked:

I wish I would have dedicated more time to this car... it was a pleasure to drive. But between spending all day raking and bagging the leaves in my front yard, then doing the same thing the next day in the backyard, I just didn't spend much time on this challenge. I could of / should of ran it some more last night, but I was kind of geeking out with some JGTC cars on the High Speed Ring (the first official word on that league hit yesterday evening). Oh, well... that's life - when you find a car you enjoy driving, you simply don't have any free time. When you have a car that makes you frustrated, you have all the time in the world. C'est la vie!

That time makes me wince as I am so very close to breaking into the 1:33 range. I'll try it some more before the deadline hits tonight, but this time is submitted in case things don't work out.

*EDIT: It should also be mentioned that I just spent the last few hours trying to make my Logitec GT Force Pro wheel (the one made for GT4) work with GTPSP. There is a homebrew program (RemoteJoy Lite) that allows your PSP screen to be viewed on a PC monitor. I saw a video of a guy in France using that same wheel with his PSP and that program. I got everything to work, but the wheel/pedals don't work in-game. I know a member of this site (Sinister) using that program with his PSP (2000 series; not the PSP GO) and a Dual Shock 3 controller. I'm going to hit him up and see what he did to calibrate that external controller. If I meet with any success, I'll let everyone know; likewise, if any of you know someone who has already done this, please let me know - I have questions to ask them! Thanks!

:)

This is good for me becuse in germany the 11pm PST is 8am here so it basicly gives me a full day that i normally lose.

C11 will be over in a couple of hours.

C12 will be Suzuka Circuit / Forward. Take what you learned from C2 & C9 to score the ultimate hot lap. Good Luck Guys!! All times have been updated as of 7:00pm PST

I put a lot of laps in and slowly but surely lowered my time. I was right on the bumper of my 1.32.454 ghost on this lap from the esses to the hairpin, took the hairpin faster, which put me neck and neck with the ghost, then I made a faster exit out of the chicane and pulled away by 2 tenths throughout the last turn and final straight. I knew getting a better exit out of the chicane would make a difference, but I didn't know it would be that decisive. Now I think a 1'31.9XX is possible.

I believe this is now by far the largest thread on the GT PSP forum. 👍 Awesome to see how much everyone is improving. I for one have come a long way since C1, no doubt about it. Thanks for hosting this, Niigaki... it's been excellent. Sad to see Yavy drop out, but Genesis and Sato have more than made up for his absence.

Can't wait to run a full lap at Suzuka! Very interested to see what C13's track will be as well.

@glubags

thanks for the complements once again
you are the one to be hunted hehehe so watch out :)

i made a time with the gnx just out of pride because i knew i could be faster but really didn't tried and was surprised by glubags... so i decided to try more and did it!
and tbh ther's still time to be shaved on the first sector at least one hundred of a second is available there

1.32.245 will upload replay and pic later

@ Sato
Yeah, there seems to be a good chunk of time left. I had a 1'32.4 ghost running before, and it was faster through the first couple corners by 2 tenths or so, then remained that far ahead until the hairpin, then I pulled out the lead after the last chicane. If I could run the whole first part of the lap like my 1'32.4 ghost, then take the hairpin-to-chicane section as fast as my 1'32.2 ghost, I'm pretty sure I could break into the 1'31s. I don't think I'm going to try, though... all that effort and cramped hands aren't worth it. That said, great job on the 1'32.245.

@glubags

i thank you becuase you are one of the reasons i'm pushing
i'm trying myself harder then ever because to tell the truth i'm lazy XD
but seeing myself in a nice position like the previous challenge and also being able to battle at the front sometimes like this one, made me fought harder for this challenge in particular and the jgtc too
and the upcoming season i hope to have all the cars ready on round 1!

Have you taken the Amuse Carbon R to Suzuka yet?

2'07.787 on a clean but very slow and careful lap. Pushing the car to its limits here is like balancing on a knife edge... it seems like anything but absolute perfection is either far too slow or far too fast. What a beast.

i haven't bought it yet :nervous:
i'm rushing through the days but i'm also must be cautious not to miss
the Ferrari F1 F2007 as i already put together the money for it 👍

I know what you mean... it's like walking on thin ice.

I believe I got everyone's times that were submitted before the deadline.

Adding the points now, I am sorry for the late update. I got home at 12:15am, played CODMW2 till about 8am and knocked out.

There is no reason to thank me for this thread, you guys are the reason why we have the longest and most viewed thread on GT PSP section.

👍👍👍👍 To all of you guys who compete everyday and make this possible. I didn't think this would be as successful as it is. Hell, we were the first League thread and look, 3 new leagues are being added right after season one is over. As for Season Two, once Season One ends. I am going to closed this thread and start a new one. It will have everything laid out for you guys, I just need more time to write it up. Plus I believe it will begin about a week after S1 is over. Thanks for being patience and keep pushing to become better drivers. I see you guys joined teams for Justin's league. Show them what were made of !

dang it, sorry Glu. Fixing now.

When you guys get the chance, please read over this portion I am typing up for Season Two. If there is anything would like me to add or take out. I am open to suggestions. Thanks

Hey everyone,

In the beginning of October, I started a GTP Member Wide Time Attack Challenge. I didn’t think the thread would be as successful as it was. We currently have the most viewed and most posted thread in the GT PSP section of GTP and I have all the members to thank for this. So without further ado….

I present to you, GTP Member Super Time Attack Challenge Season 2!!!!!!

This season will be a little bit different from what we experienced during the first season.

The first change for Season 2 will be the points system, I will be adapting the point system from the Super GT Series in Japan.

1st - 10th points will go like this. 20, 15, 12, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

The second change for Season 2 will be there will be 2 leagues which members can compete in. First league will be the Sport Car Challenge. The second league will be the Race Car Challenge. Only JGTC, Group C / IMSA Race Cars and the DTM Touring Cars will be allowed in this challenge. From the Honda NSX Arta JGTC race car to the infamous Mazda 787B Group C race car. Even though their will be two leagues to race in season two, the tracks will be the same for both.

Another addition to Season 2 will be the use of different sets of tires. Sport Car Challenge will only use S1 Tires as the Race Car Challenge will only use R1 tires. No exceptions.

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V・spec II Nür (R34) ‘02

I will searching for 2 staff members to help me go through the ghosts of the top drivers for each challenge to make sure no shortcuts or wall tapping has occur in any of the ghosts. If you submit a ghost that shows you taking a shortcut or wall tapping to score a quicker time, will result in a DNF and will score no points for that challenge.

Will be taking the top 25 members for each track. You are open to adjust any settings or assists if you wish. Each season will have 13 tracks to race for the top 3 slots in the season. Every session will have points awarded for 1st to 10th place. This is just for bragging rights, hopefully there will be a healthy competition amongst the community. Good Luck to everyone!!

Season 2 Rules

1. Each challenge will start at 11pm on the first date given and will end at 11pm Pacific Time Zone.
2. Member must post a picture of their ghost under the save data that shows the time and the physics that you used. Also will need to add a note card to your posting.
3. Only Professional Physics maybe used for the rest of season. Members using standard, their times will not count.
4. If your time is submitted after 11pm on the last day of the challenge, your time will not count towards the final tally of times.
5. If you place within the top 3 drivers for each challenge. You must support your time with not only a picture but a upload of your replay file. If you fail to upload your replay and post a link before the deadline of each challenge. Your time will be dismissed, no excuses, no exceptions.

It all sounds good!

:)

Just two minor typos:

*First, 'So without further of do….' should be 'So without further ado...'

*Second, in the paragraph that starts 'The second change for Season 2 will be', season two near the end of the paragraph is accidentally missing a space (says 'seasontwo').

I guess it's not bad considering I got 3 hours of sleep haha.

No, it's not bad at all considering I get more typos in an average single sentence (three so far in this one - I corrected them though)... and I minored in English in college!

ha ha ha

1st - 10th points will go like this. 20, 15, 12, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
The only suggestion I have is one that someone mentioned way, way earlier in the thread... with the points set up that way, they should go 20, 15, 11, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. This way the difference between 2nd and 3rd place is 4 points, and the difference between 3rd and 4th is 3 points, rather than the other way around. The point differences would then scale incrementally down the rankings to 5th place.

I guess the only way 20-15-12 makes more sense is if you want to give an additional point to the last person on the podium to put more emphasis on placing in the top 3.

Sounds great though. I think I may compete only in the Sports Car League since I'm not sure I'll have time to get the funds together for all the race cars.

Im just thinking out loud per say, but are you giving full points for both sports and race challenges, and then giving them a total, or keeping an avarage, or totally seperate? If they are seperate you could continue with the JGTC on the race and adopt the F1 point system for the sports cars. Or vise versa
