dammit, 1'11.091. when it hit 152 I shifted and I think it was a miss shift. still need to shave more time off :( where you at glubags?

I was out getting drunk last night. I ran a 2'07.599 on Amalfi, and continued to try to beat that ghost, but had no luck before it was time to go out. Congrats to Yavy on his win there.

I actually have to buy the Ford GT... I'll need to advance the days a good bit... might miss a couple other cars I wanted, but oh well, they'll come up again later.

I'll do some laps later today and hopefully break into the 1'10s... I dunno, though... that car will lose traction in a heartbeat, and I'm not altogether crazy about Midfield... we'll see how it goes. :)

@ cottees

the cut off time is always at 11pm PST. according to your time stamp on your ghost file, you finished at 9:17pm. i'll take the submission this time, but please for future reference make you sure you post before the 11pm PST submission time. you have 3 days to do so :)

I am in Adelaide, Australia so 17/10/2007 21:17 CDT is 17/10/2007 3:37 PDT. This time I'll work out the time difference better.

My best time so far for C4 is 1'17.377

I kinda pissed that I missed the shift or it should of been into the 1'10's. I'll mess with more settings later today and see if I can get it from power sliding during the big U turn.

All up until the last hairpin, this basically constitutes about as perfect a lap as I can put together. I was on track to do a high 1'09 (I was just over 6 tenths ahead of my 1'10.581 ghost at the beginning of the last sector) and then I got into the throttle a little too early on the last hairpin, lost traction, and ran wide.

I'm actually loving this track/car combo. Thought I'd hate it. Replay should be done processing soon.

Took me a day and a half to get it but after many changes to the car I finally did it. I think I read somewhere that the "no stripes" ford GT was acceptable. (btw I cant seem to find the Honda NSX Type S 01' thats in the next challenge , are you sure thats the exact name?)

Yeah, we have Guinness in Aus. Many of the bottle shops over here sell it. The drinking age in Aus is 18+, not that it stops some people.

Wow great runns guys! Im still trying to break out of the 1'14's myself :(

@Genesisfury
Yea thats the right car. I just found it myself, it was in my day 115, (I started with the 206 as my first car,) it has the 'real' headlights and not the pop up style. Cant wait to see more times!

Finally broke into the 1'09s, but just barely. :)

Again, the final hairpin bit me here, but not nearly as badly as my previously submitted time. I also accidentally shifted from 3rd to 5th on the straight after the first S (I guess my cramped hand double-tapped the shoulder button), so I'm guessing that lost me another few hundredths... perhaps even a tenth.

If I could run this lap perfectly--the final hairpin being the main concern--I could turn out a 1'09.7XX... but I really think that would my car's/ability's absolute limit.

Will record the replay soon; here's the ghost for now:

i had a hunch this morning when I woke up. I log on check over peoples times and Glubags was the first to break into the 1'09's. Guess ill mess around some more today but I bought Monster Hunter and its addicting haha. Don't worry though, I will keep a eye on the thread during the day and update it when every now and then. Welcome to some of new members posting times. Always nice to see that.

Got back up to playing some more. Have come into the 1:13's. from the 17's. 1:10.xxx seems like a dream.

@ Cottees

times have been updated as of 10am PST. please note that C4 ends tonight at 11pm PST.

Hello, here is my time : 1'12"778

@ danlalan, your time has done with standard mode, you should try in professionnal physics if you want be ranked.

2. Member must post a picture of their ghost under the save data that shows the time and the physics that you used. Also will need to add a note card to your posting.
3. As of Oct 14th, current members have spoken and only Professional Physics maybe used for the rest of season. Members using standard, their times will not count.
4. If your time is submitted after 11pm on the last day of the challenge, your time will not count towards the final tally of times.

I still need to buy the NSX... I'm about halfway through my 2nd dealer cycle (had to advance the days a lot to buy the GT), so I hope it shows up soon.

Edit: The Honda NSX '01 just showed up... not the Type S though.

Edit: Got it! I now have every car needed for this first season of challenges.

hey glubags, what rims do you have on your S2000? they look like 6 spokes so I would naturally assume that they are gloss black volk te37s. I could be wrong.

They're SSR Type-C RS, 17x9 wrapped with Dunlop Direzzas (255/40) on all four corners. The non-staggered setup really suits the car's original balance... Tons of grip. Can't wait to see how they fare when the car's finished.

even though the AP1 has a reputation of sliding around? I am saving to buy some TE37s for my Z but the wheels even at this time are still expensive haha.

its 9:35pm PST, please get your times in before 11pm PST. Thanks!!!
