30 minutes left. At the start of Challenge 12, I will post a new format that will be used in Season 2. Should give you guys who are active in season 1, to go over and give me feedback about what you like and dislike about the new format. Going change up tire setups for each class of cars. Anyways the new course for C5 will be up in 30 minutes!!!

C4 is over. Points will be given out. Please check back in 5 minutes to see the new track for C5.

Congrats to Yavy for his 3rd win in a row.

C5 has just began, start posting your times!

C5 - Fuji Speedway 90's / Forward Good Luck!!!

I ran a 1'09.824 back on Midfield and on one lap (probably my 80th) I was 0.344 ahead of that ghost on the last sector, went into the last hairpin, thought everything was grand, then clipped the outside curb coming out of the turn and got sideways enough that my ghost eventually caught me just before the finish line and I finished 0.018 behind it.

Had that NOT happened, it would have been somewhere in the 1'09.5XX area. Ugh. Frustrating, especially with mere minutes left to post times.

Congrats to Yavy yet again.

I'll attack Fuji tomorrow. :)

hmm with stock settings lowest I ran was 1'39.1xx. i'm pretty sure by tomorrow yavy will already be at 1'37 :(

I also completed all the cars needed for Season 1.
Maybe glubags should reveal (this early) the car to be used for C6?

Ive got alot of down time at work this week, I anticipate some improvement in my lap times!

hey psp88, what do you mean you completed all the cars for season 1. Or do you mean you bought all 13.

Not as smooth as I'd like it to be... I could probably run it better by two tenths or so with better throttle application in a corner or two. I also braked a split second later than I'd have liked to into the first corner, which made for a wide exit... that probably added a tenth or so as well.

I'm going to continue to try to put together a better lap. If I can't, I'll just post this replay Thursday.

that time is just plain insane. i'm stuck at 1'38.8xx and your still saying you can go faster. i wanna see a replay because I can't even beat this after 20 laps

EDIT.

so now I am only at 1'38.500 :(

hi niigaki, do I need upload a ghost data or others in the end?

Impressive claims are ******** until videos are shown... We do know there's a mega huge shortcut near the end yea?

Rest assured I'll post my fastest replay before the challenge ends, and I'm not cutting corners whatsoever. I'm still very interested to see what kind of times Yavy is putting in. Right now I'm pretty much at my limit.

:tup:how do you achieve the record, very fast!
At this track it's ALL about corner exit speed. So much time can be lost on the short straight after the first corner, the long sweeping right-hander leading to the last chicane, and the final sweeping right-hander leading to the pit straight if you lose any traction at all on the corners preceding them.

I got a time of 1'37.364 . I had so many times that i couldve gotten 1'36.9XX but I keep braking too early on the second last turn :(

Great time. And yeah, I'm with you there... the corner that keeps screwing me over is the small chicane early in the lap. I've nailed the braking points for every other corner, but EVERY time with that one, I brake too early or too late, or I brake just right but don't get on the throttle soon enough, or I get on it too soon and run wide, causing me to cut through the dirt inside the second apex of the chicane (which is obviously unacceptable).

This has to be one of the worst tracks ive played on, even though there's alot of space to turn into corners with but, the main thing that pisses me off is the start up when you restart. I do one turn slightly wrong... and there goes another 20 seconds before the lap starts lol.

I actually love it... it's my favorite Fuji layout (I absolutely hate the awkward, blind, off-camber corners in the last part of the lap in the '05 version)... I just wish we were driving an early 90s NSX to match the time period of the track. :)

Yeah that hairpin in midfield kinda stopped me from getting a better time as well. I suppose you're meant to let the accel. off when coming into the small right-hander then brake into the left-hander and accel. on full throttle. Took me alot of practice to complete that turn properly.

I could never get the proper angle on that corner without blipping the brakes to shift the car's weight forward in the small right-hander... simply letting off the throttle wouldn't cut it--I'd always end up too close to the inside. Maybe my front springs were a little too stiff.

YES!!!! iam up in the 30's. 1.39:933 that is. But its good to see THIRTY. Looking at that 1.37 isnt impossible.
