You're higher than me in the Championship, You can't tell me not to complain!!! 😂👍
Fair enough :sly: in fact I'm going at the top of the championship after this round (unless others arrive and do better than me in the last 3 hours), so the title chase is on :gtpflag:

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up like McRae in the 2001 WRC, however :ill:

Well you did really good here in Estonia and there's only Finland to go, Pretty similar rally. So I wouldn't bet against you😉👍

A thrilling round concludes at Estonia, and the championship fight has been blown wide open heading to Finland.

@RYAN took top spot in the event with a stellar drive, after missing most of CER, he comes back with a bang in the Skoda. @Cabelmania follows up in P2 in his Hyundai, with @flatthebest just 3 seconds off P2 and rounding out the podium in his Skoda.
@ZeroTheNorth will be disappointed with P9 in his quest for championship glory.

The power stage tells a similar story. With @RYAN taking a commanding victory for the 5 bonus points, 22 seconds clear of second place @scourgehedge who takes the 4 bonus points, @Cabelmania less than a tenth of P2 takes 3 points, then @space_wadet and @flatthebest round off the power stage point scorers.

What this does to the championship is gives us a 4 way fight for the title in Finland. @Cabelmania takes over the championship lead on 69 points, @ZeroTheNorth drops to P2 on 62 points, with @Dreadmed and @RYAN tied for P3 on 59 points each.

Just 10 points across the top 4, with a maximum of 30 up for grabs in Finland, means we have a genuine fight for the first GTPRC title.

In the constructors, it is also extremely tight, with a strong point scoring round for Skoda and Hyundai, just 11 points separate the top 3, with Ford still in the lead, but only now by 1 single point. Skoda pass Hyundai for P2.

It's here, the final round of the first GTPRC season. What a place to finish, Rally Finland is the scene setter for a 4 way drivers championship showdown, and a 3 way manufacturer championship battle. With a similar flow to Estonia, high speed jumps, fast gravel and some demanding technical sections, expect a real battle to the end. Cold conditions may come into play with snow forecast for the rally.

Itinerary:
Long Service
SS1: Venkajärvi - 10.4km
SS2: Saakoski - 4.4km
SS3: Painaa - 6.4km

Medium Service
SS4: Leustu - 11.1km
Power Stage: Hatanpää - 12.5km

Good luck to @Cabelmania @RYAN @ZeroTheNorth and @Dreadmed in their quest for the championship.

Bit annoyed to have missed out on a point in Estonia. I had a really good run and stayed out of trouble with minimal damage yet it clearly wasn't enough for me to break into the top 10. My brother @scourgehedge is clearly better than me at this.

How my run in Finland went:

My more conventional Builder (front-engined) being put through its paces, livery is WIP:

My horror show and DNF at Scandia + Estonia respectively probably rules me out of top spot, here's hoping that was enough to secure a podium (@RYAN has been rapid lately so might be a long shot!)

The last stage in Finland was intense. I think I was driving on instinct for the most part because I couldn't comprehend what I was doing.

I thought I needed to win the rally and Power stage to have a chance at the title. I was wrong. I also rolled into a tree, The bonnet covering my usual bonnet view. So I had to do the rest (About half of the stage) in chase cam that I never use. Luckily I was 26 seconds in front going into the Power stage. So I just about managed to keep the lead. 5th place on the PS though. Missing the CER round over christmas is proving costly. So it's all to play for @Cabelmania

If it gets too bad I've discovered that the smashed bonnet doesn't seem to affect cockpit view if that helps.

If I was using a wheel that would have been preferred but with a controller I find it awkward. I'm weird in that I don't use vibration so I need more of a visual indication of what the car is doing.

Considering that in my practices I continue to spinning too much I don't have much hope of winning, but let's see what will happen in a few hours

P.S. aaaaaaaaaaaaaand spun like 3 times in the 1st stage :ill::crazy::lol: Video coming soon ;)

We have made it to the end of GTPRC Season 1! It's been a very exciting championship, with multiple winners, close battles and a 4 way fight for the title in the final round, @RYAN , @ZeroTheNorth , @Dreadmed and @Cabelmania all fought for the title. Here are the rally results after a tough, wintry run through Finland:

It is @RYAN who came out on top in Finland, with a marginal victory over @Dreadmed , winning by just 7 seconds, with @ZeroTheNorth just 3 seconds further back. @Cabelmania came home in P5 in the Hyundai, hoping for a good power stage result to help his title hopes.

It was a good effort, picking up 2 points for P4. @ZeroTheNorth not doing his bid any harm with the power stage victory, whilst @Dreadmed came home just 4 seconds off the pace, @Gonzaseca takes P3 and @Speedster502 ends a strong season with the final bonus point.

With all that done, lets get to what you've been waiting for. The final championship standings:

In 3rd place, we have @Dreadmed

Thank you everyone for participating, S2 will be setup within the next 2 weeks, so keep an eye out for that, and jump in to these links to vote on the format, points system and car class for the next season, we currently have ties for everything except the points system, so get your votes in.

Congratulations to all. While you fast lot compare differences at the top, I'll be focusing on the tiny margins between 16th and 19th. Some tight rally racing going on at the back 👍

This was the only rally i managed to have time for in S1. Hopefully will get a chance to take part in more events in S2 👍

Ill take 2nd in the championship after the horror show that was Estonia. (Multiple errors and driving half of the last stage with a punture.) Still, happy to finish strong in Finland with minimal mistakes!

Congratulations to @RYAN for winning S1. Also thanks to @Cabelmania , @Dreadmed and everyone in the field for the great season!

Looking forward to the next season! ^^

I thought I did a good job in Finland. Oh well. I guess my objective for next season is to get a top 10 finish.

Thanks to all those voting on the next season. The format and points have clear leaders, still a tie in the car class so if you haven’t voted, go vote now!

Starting tomorrow morning and running for 2 days is a single stage event on Monte Carlo using Rally1 class cars. We will be taking on the stage that hosted the real Monte Carlo rally’s 3rd and 6th stage, St Leger les Melezes - La Batie Neuve.

Enjoy.
