I can't complain to be honest. I was surprised after the car came to rest It was recoverable. When I've gone flying off sheer edges like that before it tends to be all over most of the time.
I was expecting to be unrecoverable as I flew through the bush...pleasantly surprised to have been able to continue.

That was good fun!

Made an absolute bottle job of Stage 4 by ignoring a 'Brake' call thinking I could tank it and promptly ended up wedged in a bush with all four wheels suspended off the ground.
Cost myself a silly amount of time trying to salvage it before realising that I was floating in a bush and you in fact cannot move with no tyre ground contact.

I think pace wise P6 overall is about as high as I can go in current form so I'll be pushing for that next rally.

Spain was definitely worth a trip! I really enjoyed the fast and smooth roads. My first fastest time in this championship on the first special stage was a great feeling. A spin on SS3 cost me 10 seconds, but I was still within striking distance of the leader until the last stage. Unfortunately, overconfidence got the better of me in the end, and a couple of big mistakes on the power stage dropped me back to P3 overall. A bit disappointing, but the pace is there. Now I have to work on my consistency.

Welp, at least I'm pretty sure I probably won't be last again this week. I think.

Lady Death came to my house, and asked "Did you die in Greece ?", and I said "Almost, but didn't :P"; She left and said "See you for Round 5, sweetheart :sly:", so it's a matter of time :ill::lol:

So, yeah, I survived, despite hitting a giant rock on Stage 4 :ouch:

Felt like I was having a decent run until SS5 where I decided to take a closer look at the scenery :banghead:

Coasted through SS5 saving tyres and avoiding damage to try and take some power stage points instead. We'll see how that pans out

Sounds like there were multiple offerings to Thanatos on the Rally of Gods in this unlucky thirteenth championship. It's as if Greece is the new Mediterraneo. Hairpins and mountains just don't seem to mix and I doff my racing cap to the modern day heroes who manage to pull this off year after year in real life.

Think I'm gonna be crawling around the old Mediterraneo at recce speed when it returns next Friday. At least it won't be raining or blizzarding. :scared:

Decently quick and controlled rally, always within reach to the top, no experiments.
Then in SS5, braking 2m too late, sliding off a cliff, not even damaging the car but loosing 40 seconds.
Rally can be so cruel.

Still happy with the driving though, had fun out there :)

I think I need another break from this with the luck I'm having recently

Leading by 3 seconds and feeling pretty comfortable taking no risks after 4 stages to the car losing all grip and sliding agonizingly off a cliff in SS5 for +30secs and ultimately doing the same again in SS6 but unrecoverable...

The one in SS5 is the most gutting as looking at the times I would have had a comfortable lead going into the final stage and it would have just been a question of bringing it home.

Oh well... Finishing is always the first challenge and I'm failing miserably at that at the moment.

A good effort, although at the very second to last turn on Rebaste the car decided it wanted to go outside the game map :boggled: I was lucky to not get a 30 seconds penalty (as it occured to me in the past)

Irrespective of my demise I did really enjoy the Rally though. It's a rally I don't tend to do too much but when I do its always fun. The R3 Car was really enjoyable too. Probably the most fun I've had driving it. The short length and strong low end grunt makes it great at powering through all the hairpins.

I'm happy with my run through of Estonia, no real mistakes in there with some decent pace. I know I'm never going through get near the top of the leaderboards so I'm happy with where I am currently.

I would have been happier with my run had I not picked up a five second penalty on the first turn which ultimately cost me at least one championship position but I managed to avoid the penalty picked up by a couple of other drivers on stage 2 so perhaps it evens out.

Well I've not been active for a while, so I'm quite pleased to currently be 4th overall ATM and even manage to win stage 3 ( so far lol )

Rally Scandia is a different story cough cough

literally couldn't see with headlights in the rain so couldn't use them. Was going acceptably until the 4th stage where it was way too dark and I crashed.

This is stationary... It's worse while moving

I had a similar reaction and would hate to imagine what taking that stage at speed would be like in cockpit view. I just decided to drive even more slowly than I normally do (and hope the AI also have a similar handicap when in single player mode).

The game has been out for a year and I never even thought about turning off the headlights in those kind of conditions... more fool me. And it does make a huge difference;

Must admit I was really struggling for visibility on this one (I use cockpit cam) so I was definitely doing the headlights off trick  It also took me a whole year to find out that there's an extra speed of windscreen wipers 🤦‍♂️

I'll definitely blame those two issues for my lack of speed in Estonia haha. Usually go reasonably well here, but just couldn't find the confidence in the car and had a few too many penalties for touching spectators standing in utterly stupid places.

Times in Estonia were fine throughout the event but a very silly 30sec penalty on the first stage put me out of contention pretty much from the start :grumpy:

I hope that you, virgin cockpit cam users, realized the error of your ways and finally acknowledge us, gigachad chase cam users, as the real Driving games Master Race :sly:

But seriously; aside from that, how did I manage to win this round ?

Let's just say this: watch the end of the Power Stage at 39:18 and then tell me if your soul, like me, left the body too :scared:

Ah, let's not forget @bozian with a superb performance; great driving 👏:D

My Mediterraneo attempt is lying bruised and broken at the bottom of a cliff along with my car. Yeeted twice and was glad to be disqualified so I don't have to go through that again.

I had a good run anyway, for once I didn't fall off at Mediterraneo. I did make a couple of mistakes but nothing major so I'm hopeful of a good result at this round.

Thank you very much! Mediterraneo always is a high adrenaline rally for me, so tense! I totalled the little Fiesta in the first shakedown run, so had to cope with a compromised car and no extra tire set from the beginning ... Couple of mistakes afterwards but very satisfying to stitch together a clean stage here!
