I'm not overly surprised considering reception of the whole concept hasn't seemed overly enthusiastic. I don't even get the feeling SRO is exited for the championship.

Edit: Are we to assume after this weeks Nissan livery announcement for the GT3 and V8SC, that they've basically confirmed they are running in the Australian GT3 series?

Unlikely. They want Nissan to set-up a proper 'Audi-style' customer program.
They would run it, but they don't want to go against Quinn's no factory teams philosophy.

I think they're still where they were at a month ago: http://www.speedcafe.com/2015/12/10/nissan-taking-small-steps-towards-australian-gt/

In any case, I really hope that there is a GTR running in AGT. It was great to see at the 12hr last year.

Didn't realize the participation numbers were down this year considering all the hype the race has been getting.
I think the newly formed GT Championship/s and Bathurst 6hr have taken a fair few local entries away. The new GT3 cars not being eligible has take away from the international side.

GT4 just doesn't seem to take off. Is it a cost thing?
