GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

I just woke up (there's no way I'm getting up st 5:30 on a Sunday), so I'm way out of the loop here. Very surprised to see the Nissan squad in the lead though.

I'd love to see an exhibition of SuperGT 500 cars around the mountain. Random thought, yes but, I'd pay to see that.
I remember, years ago, there were rumours of a then JGTC Supra cutting private laps around the mountain. I've never found any information about it, so it most likely never happened.

If I remember right it wasn't to private, it was some display thing for the Bathurst 24h, but I'm unsure if it actually took place, or if it was planned and placed in the marketing of the event then abandoned,

That rings a bell. So it wasn't just my imagination!

The GT300 class cars were eligible for the 24 Hour. It's sad that none ever made their way down. I'd love to see in the invitational class for the 12 Hour.

Hooked an American mate up with a stream.

This from him -
" a BENTLEY ???.....does it come with a cappuccino machine ?? "
Grey poupon dijon

I just got home and started watching the livestream, what did I miss?
A lot BUT, still plenty of racing.
Short version: Van Gisbergen smashed the Mount Panorama Bathurst lap forever.

Mika Salo called Percat an idiot.

The Erebus Motorsport pit boom fell.

Sightings of Skippy the bush kangaroo were reported.

The Bentleys are fast.

The Audis are slow.

6hrs and 47min to go.

SVG's McLaren had gearbox issues, lost about 30sec, got them back with a safety car.

5 cars on lead lap (I think), with the 5th a Bently barely on the lead lap after a flat right rear.

Erebus pit stops have been one WTF after another, the latest being he cars boxing in the wrong order and then having the pit boom fall almost on the Penrite car.

Burt Shnieder is driving the new AMG GT sans read defuser after a meatball flag forced the team to remove it.

NISMO GTR has been the surprise of the day. Penrite car also led quite a few laps. Both of these haven't been fastest on track, but have used strategy well.

Edit: nooo the Bently? What happened???

Well... thanks to some pointless Cycling race, and some cliché morning show, the 12HR isn't on TV anymore.
So to clarify, a Morning Show is on 7, some Cycling race is on 7 Mate, and some corny movie is on 7 TWO.

Horrible decision sending that car back out without pulling that body work away from the tire. Just cost them more time than it would have taken to fix it in the first place.

I'm watching it on 7?

Why would Bentley not fix the body work? Did they seriously think it would not cut the tire again?

Ya I think there was confusion about the safety car being deployed (or not), and they were racing to stay on the lead lap.

Didn't work out, but I can understand why it happened.
