In the latest GT3 news - apparently Radical with an entry. Proof GT3 rules are getting a little crazy. Perhaps too crazy.

It's a road car. Yes it looks ridiculous but it's a supercar/super sportscar none the less. It's got two seats. Look KTM has the X-bow in GT4 so it's not exactly CRAZY. An RXC is a fast car, but it's just a supercar.

Course just to be sure...we're talking the RXC coupe right?

Yes

Patrick Long from 19th to 7th in that race which is amazing considering he didn't run a lap prior to the race. 👍 Edit: Ryan Eversley from 16th to 10th as well.

I'll have to keep watching these races now that Screamin Greg Creamer isn't part of commentary.

It will be a long season for anybody not in a 911 if PWC doesnt make a change to these tires. Pat Long lapping in the 14's with 10 minutes to go when everyone else is running 16's shows how big the gap really is.

Personally I'm not worried. For 2 reasons.

1st the rear mounted flat 6 pushes down on the rear tyres giving it an advantage putting the power down.

2nd the BOP changes almost every track.

One more thing. How does race control allow a car to limp around the track for 30 minutes without taking any action? I understand there's no points for finishing less than 50% of the race, but for them to allow that car to stay out there for the remainder of the race is amateur at best.

Well I mean...it is basically the same race control that allowed cars to litter the sides of the track (St. Pete and Long Beach) so...yeah.

When the rest of the field switches to 911's the race should be very close then.

On fresher tires the BOP is fine, 14 cars finished within 1 sec of the fastest lap. That wont be the case when summer rolls around and the air temps are near 90. Today in St.Pete it was 75.

St. Pete suits the 911 due to the slower nature of the circuit and the tight corners that go along with that. It won't be the same on the other tracks. I didn't see the COTA round so I don't know how that turned out since that's a higher speed, faster flowing circuit.

That being said, the Bentley and Nissan were suffering the most on worn tires, but they're also the bigger cars.

The Acura is the heaviest? Doesn't look like it would be, but otherwise everything seems to fall in line with what I suspected.

It's all confusing.

The stream is up now (and hopefully stays that way).

They mentioned some rain heading towards the track during the IndyCar race so that may come into play.
