GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Is Chiyo back? I haven't heard anything about him since his SuperGT crash(granted, I don't follow the series or his career closely).

From what I can recall, they had started up the series last year. Or interest in the series.

TA2 has been about since 2012-13 here and pretty popular really. I don't care for it so that's why I'm surprised seeing about it now being over in Australia. I would of thought it would have been their sooner.

I think I posted about this. Go figure.

That's Australia for ya. We're always left behind (TV shows, reasonably fast internet, video games, progressive legislature, etc.).

I mean it's quite cool, but as I said already just surprising it just recently took off
I guess with so many ex-V8 Supercars series and Super Production cars, might not have been a market for them.

Has T/A tappered off back in the USA?

I mean TA2 is the T/A market here from what has been claimed by SCCA, so I would have to say it's growing. However, I doubt it's growing all that great. T/A isn't really major anymore and considering PWC, Conti, GTD class and such that it will never be again. It's still one of the bigger grass roots series to get into if that means anything, but I'd imagine it's comparable in size to the Aussie version. In other words it's a decent size if not healthy size, but it wont be all that big professionally.

That is you guys have a lot to offer racing wise and grass roots and thus it's only going to get as big as those who can't afford to get into the PWC and Conti series of the world or Australian GT3s and lower.

Ford Mustangs using GM engines :odd:
No thanks :yuck:

Its not even a real Mustang, just a Tube-frame car with a "Mustang" body (just like the Tube-frames with "Corvette" bodies) so its not even that big a deal for me. If anything, its a perfect example of how outdated and how much of a joke The current T/A cars are.

Not a fan of the current T/A cars. Too NASCAR-like for me.

Can I ask exactly why you have a problem with basically anything that isn't GT4? Not trying to be mean, just genuinely curious.

Quality lineup. Excited to see Bamber and Vanthoor in the same car.
If they're smart, they'd get Matt Campbell in the second car.

The second car is apparently going to be in the Pro-Am class? I assume John Martin and Liam Talbot will be two of three drivers. Would love to see Campbell in the car too.
