GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Or maybe adjust the title. Australian GT run GT3 & GT4. Super Taikyu are now running 8 classes(GT3, GT4, TCR and 5 classes of production cars). Super GT & DTM have their own threads.

So much info to be crammed between the two threads. Tough call.

My intention was to have a thread for production based racing from GT4 and below. GT3 is big enough to have it's own thread. BTCC & WTCC can stay in their thread since it already exists.

Yeah, I'm all for a separate thread as it seems GT4 isn't going anywhere soon. The multi-class enduros is where it gets tricky to post. That's what I'm looking at.

It's like if you've got an expanding file with A-Z.

Now, which one of the 26 options did I file that under? :banghead:

For sure on a Saturday/Sunday with European GT4 North/South, AGT, PWC, ASIA, Super Taikyu, might do better to post in that separate thread.

You got one right and it's probably the one you were least expecting.

Todd Kelly will share the #24 with Jann Mardenborough and Florian Strauss. While Michael Caruso, Katsumasa Chiyo and Alex Buncombe will steer the #23.

Link.
No games to be played come Feb 5.

OK, Jann in a Supercar for October.

I'm pushing it, ain't I? :D

The way he pedals a car around, I'd love to see that. During his last stint in the Dubai 24H I switched to the onboard camera on the NISMO TV feed and it was fun to watch him push that thing so late in the race.

Why no Simmons? :irked:

As much as I hate the little bastard, Rick on the bench instead of Todd is a surprise. Means I can watch both cars equally.

Doubt it, assuming Jann is still competing in Super GT this year - Bathurst clashes Super GT's round in Buriram, Thailand.

Just a little. :P

Anyway, pretty exciting line-up for the Nissan team. Todd Kelly might not be the fastest driver out there but he is solid and certainly not as slow as he's often made out to be, last year he was able to show good speed throughout the year. That and he wont have the pressure of running the team at the same time, so he could go into the race feeling far more relaxed. The only thing I'm iffy on is that he wont experience the car until the first practice session. I am surprised that Nissan didn't plop Matt Simmons in this car though.

If it was the plan to put Todd in, should have raced the 101 with Matt and Caruso. At least he would have steered it. I also don't know the story why they didn't run at the Bathurst "test" last year.

Todd should be fine. The car is fast and comfortable. Probably just has to relearn his brake markers.
