Sprint-LX-GT series would actually mean something (LX for 60 minutes), but whatever it is called the closer the PWC and SRO can get the better off they will be. Adding a simple pit stop into the race should not be a issue for the teams.

Yeah and most of them will be on the same playing field in terms of experience with pitstops. Besides with the proper FIA/SRO pitstops things will go smoothly. The grid sizes at some of these combined events will just be loony! :D

IMSA eat your heart out, the SCCA is getting the battering ram to knock on your door! Let the battle for sportscar supremacy in the USA begin! :mischievous:

It's great that they are going to that format. I just wish American series' could be better at names.
The World Challenge has been around for a long time, I used to watch it heavily in the SPEED World Challenge days:

I remember watching it as a kid, mainly from 2006-2010. Really cool variety of cars. Always liked the home built Corvette's and the 4-door Cadillac CTS-V's.

Can anyone throw a link up to one of those races from youtube, can only find races from 2011 and newer,

Finding a bunch of on-board videos from as far back as 2005, but no actual race broadcasts.

Edit: 2001 GT race from Road Atlanta (Edit 2: Search on YouTube for "Speedvision World Challenge")

Ohhhh, heck yeah! I was watching SWC when RTR ran the first gen integras with Mugen wheels. :P The best racing series back in the mid 90s. Next to Super Tourers and Pobst in the Neuspeed Accord.
Actually, I bought and installed Neuspeed Springs from Rapid Parts, on my 16V Jetta after watching a race. It was all so simple then...

Cars were so much simpler in the 90's? You should have been around in the 60's, early 70's 👍

They couldn't have been simple if you wanted to work for Jack Brabham you had to be an anorexic, constipated non smoker,

Trust, I was watching Cal Yarborough in Iroc series Z/28s on Wide World of Sports, while racing AFX cars with my big brother and big cousins.

So Bryan put his GT-R on the overall pole position for this weekends PWC race, and then I guess they red flagged qualifying for an incident on track and for some reason they reverted the starting positions to be based on points? So now he starts 18th. Pretty lame.

Today's live PWC race on CBSSports is in serious doubt because of heavy rain, high winds, and low temps. There was a drivers vote a few minutes ago and the final decision on if they race will come at 11am ET.
