GT Sport’s FIA Championship Test Season 3 Begins

I'm not sure why they haven't changed any of the BOP yet. Seeing as it's testing they'd have enough data to do that. It's the ideal opportunity.

Some cars are seriously outclassed. The Lexus GT3 for example suffers with traction and rather than the current BOP reducing it's weight it's been given more power.

Since it still testing, I'd have to think the major shift in the time slots has to do with PD wanting to see what slots draw the biggest crowds. In the US, start times shifted 6 hours earlier, so where I always did the first slot (9:10 ET), now I'm going to do the next to last one.

Without seeing any real data, I think it might work out best for participation if they ran the races every 2 hours, with 4 available slots. So in the US, that might be 16:10, 18:10, 20:10, 22:10 PT.

The previous times meant my kid could see my face before I got started. Thanks Obama!

I have a question about scoring. If this isnt the place to ask, please refer me to the right place. Last night i raced the first manufacturers cup(dragontail seaside), I qualified 1st, and lead all ten laps in the race with a 11 second gap between me and second place at the finish. I only got 144 points. However in the standings other drivers are pushing 1000 points for the same race they did. How does the scoring system work, or is this one of the bugs they are still working out? Feeling pretty jipped. Thanks!

Im in the same boat. They changed the time for the Asia/Oceania races, moving them back by 2 hours. Where New Zealand could run at 10pm, the races now start at midnight.

I believe the change makes it better for India though. I wonder if they can add more time slots to compensate, or have a break in the middle of the 4 races to spread them out more for the time zones.

I really hope this gets changed back as it means I cannot take part in the fia championships! The time change may suit other zones but midnight in New Zealand just wont work for me!

It's to do with the sum of everyone's DR I think (in the race). SR probably plays a part but I'm pretty sure it's mainly DR. I've also seen speculation about qualifying time and position too.

Im DR:B SR:S and I got 970 for a win and 940 for a 3rd place with a faster group. Over 1000 points for the win there I reckon.

I got 147 for my first win with DR(D), :D

As GTWelsh said. You are capped by your DR and SR. If you have a lower DR/SR then you can only earn so many points in a race. Also, if the race has a number of lower ranked drivers, then the potential earnings of that race are also lower. I can only assume you are a D or C class driver, and was racing against mostly other D class drivers. You will have to raise your DR/SR up in the daily races to join better rooms come race night, to potentially earn more.

I am a DR-B and SR-B

I am a B+B

Don't really intend to play much but nothing else was available so I made the mistake of signing a contract with Lamborghini. The gr.3 Hurucan has very different driving characteristics than in the Hurucan I'm used to driving in AC. Car has so much understeer out of corners you can't put power down until you're practically straightened out. It is drivable but requires a different approach. Wouldn't use it for FIA tournaments. Should've went with Jaguar. Doesn't matter either way, just wanted to test the car out.

I'm happy that they changed championship time.
It was 18:00 to 22:10 here and now 20:00 to 24:10

before I couldn't participate in last 2 test season cause I had to spend time with my family and sleep two daughters.
last night I participated in 2 championships straight away from 23:10 to 24:30.

I'm quite happy with as it is now but I guess they need to make more entry slots to make more people happy.

I don't know why they are messing up so much with the race times, now I can't participate... besides who has time to play GTS at 3PM during a weekday.
Same for me, they removed the last 23:10 race that I usually ran. Yesterday, I had ran my own race to get home for the 23:10 race, only to see that they removed it. 🤬

So this new round is out of my free time :(, I used to race at the 22 or 23 hrs race, but now not race schedule fit with mine :(

I work 'til 22:30 everyday. Now I can't compete in any race with the new hours. Why they don't do any more races in the morning or at least running the last race at 23:10 as the last championships.

I've been looking forward to these events for a while, but my first event emotionally scared me and tanked my SR rating that had taken me a decent number of races to get up... I can't decide if its worth getting involved...

Moving race times around will always suit some more than others. The sensible solution is to have more races. Perhaps there is some FIA restriction or something else preventing this.
