This thread is great, I'm a sheep in China, just turned 38, happy birthday to me (and @Tired Tyres !).

First racing game was probably Stunt Car Racer. If you showed me GTS back then, I would've fainted, or cried, or both.

Can't wait for the racing games in 20yrs time!
Oh the memories! I used to play Stunt Car Racer back in the day! Trying to get to the finish with the damage bar just too far across so you know you are not going to make it but you try anyway.

Born in 1997, 19 years old.
First racing games: CMcRae 1 & 2, GT2, NFS III: HP for the PSX; PS2: F1 2004/5/6, GT4, ToCA Race Driver
Started competitive racing: At the end of 2013, with the release of GT6.

I really would have liked being born 5 years before I did, so I could have played GT5 Prologue and GT5, and trying out GT Academy with the age I´m right now. However, GT Sport is a new opportunity.

Hello fellow finn. Nice poll! I'm 42 years young. :D

We are aging like a fine wine.
I'm enjoying my 40s better than my 30s.
Everything seems much calmer, rather the world is the same just my mindset is more relaxed.

To my fellow peers if you're over 30 you shouldn't be typing "lol" anymore, unless it's texting a woman of prospect and she does it first of course.

You just caused a smile to cross my face.
My we've come light years from the Atari days.
Next time I see a physics or hear a graphics complaint this picture will be the reply.

Thought I was one of the elders here when I saw the upper limit on your age choices stopped at 50. I'm 63 and after seeing others with a few years on me no longer ashamed to admit my immature faults. Hey, I'm retired. What else have I got to do besides change my hearing aid batteries?

Over 50s going great on this poll, as I expected, 20 votes 11.2%, pleasure to have you on community and in track racing:cheers: still 5 years to go and me too joining to group:tup:

Soon to be 56, over the half a century! With around 40 of those spent gaming from console to PC and back to console again. Started GTing on the PS3.

I turn 78 on the day GTS releases so it's a no go for me I guess.
Due to problems with claims of age discrimination I believe that GTS is now going to include a license test especially for those over the age of 77. You have to pass it regularly to see if you're still fit to play. The trick is in remembering to take it. :P

Hearing aids - Do you have the standard or the pro models? ;)

I'm 62 and, like @ROCKET JOE it was my son that got me into Gran Turismo - he hasn't played it for a long time since I took over!

Nice similarity, b_t.
The PS2 was a family Christmas present in 2006, I'd never played any video games before ( except Tetris and Super Mario, ok ... ). Each 'boy' got the go from the misses to pick one additional game. BLIZZ chose 'Moorhuhn Kart', FURY 'F1 2006' and me 'GT4', without having any clue of course. We played 'Moorhuhn Kart' for three months until FURY started said dialog  ... the rest is history  !

I could never do the big jump with the stem in the middle, I either hit it or flew extremely over it. Hard Driving came after that followed by 4D Sports driving.

Oh the Amiga days :)

Similar story here, except it was a PS3 and GT5. I'd never played a video game before but got completely hooked. I'm beginning to feel like a youngster at only 60. All we had in my day was Scalextric and go-karts made from old prams and lawnmowers.

I started with GT4 in 2006 too...
How was your performance? (mine was terrible...).

Ah, those were the days!
