1 in 18. Data for today not yet fully entered
Steve, you are correct. This site has all the countries listed. It currently is 1 in 21, close to your numbers. There are major hot spots that drive the totals higher. Whether other countries approach those number remains to be seen. UK is 1 in 16 of confirmed cases. Italy 1 in 9 https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

I use that site for data. I have not listed all the countries. 1 in 18, 1 in 21, that's roughly 5% mortality rate. This is a serious pandemic and I still think some people do not realise this. It is just starting in India and Africa. Those poor countries are not going to be able, or even want to, keep social distance or self isolate. The numbers there could be huge.

The mortality rate was not as high when I first started the spreadsheet, it gets slightly higher every day. We all need to do our bit to try and help to stop this spreading. Over here we are locked down and a review will be in 3 weeks. We, in reality, are looking at least 3 - 6 months and maybe quite a bit longer. I will find out tomorrow if I still have a job. (Hopefully I will be furloughed on 80% wages). We are owned by Sysco which is a big American company that has acquired a few UK food distribution companies. That sounds ok delivering food but most of our customers are restaurants, pubs, cafe's, schools, leisure centres etc etc and they have all been shut down.

This is a worrying time for all of us and to my fellow Geezers, and to everyone else, stay safe guys and gals, do as we are advised and hopefully we will all come through this ok.

Dear friends, I am deeply saddened by the following email from Tommaso Borghini, Paolo's son. He was a fine person as I found, from the short conversations I had with him. He will be missed. This Saturday I propose we have a procession lap around Blue Moon in his honor. All Black cars (no exceptions). We can discuss during tonight's event. P.Mallard

Hello, I am Paolo's son, unfortunately my father died on March 30th. Until the last days of life, he always asked me to keep you updated and he often thought of you as good friends.
I thank you for the time you spent with him.
A hug.
Tommaso Borghini

Oh No. Tommaso I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. I enjoyed Cal company and racing with him. I’ll sorely will miss Paola.

RIP Geezer Paolo. We will miss you.
As we mourn Paolo and are aware of the difficulty we had learning of his condition it emphasizes my feeling of friendships I value with the Geezer Family.I would like to have a Geezer personal info data bank that could be used in situations like this. If you would like to add your email, phone, address and email, phone of an emergency contact (any or all of these), please send to glfrjerry@gmail.com.
To illustrate the need for this, has anyone heard any info from Claude Poulin (Oldboy1943)?
