Its been a while, but I was finally able to achieve another Diamond time (which is my 7th) in the Hamilton Time Trial Challenge:
At Brands Hatch, this morning I just ran a smoking
1:22.883 lap which edged out Hamilton's time by 8 hundredths of a second!!!

This lap was fast enough to currently put me on the top of my friend's list!

Two days ago I ran a
1:23.025 lap so I knew I was close to beating Hamilton's diamond time of
1:22.965, and then this morning I ran a
1:22.966 which was one-thousandth of second off Hamilton's time,

so I knew I was there...........and then, after another 70 miles of trying,.................................. the
1:22.883 lap was mine!

I was using the manual gearbox, no traction control and a brake setting of BB+2
I tried both BB+1 and BB+3 quite a lot, but finally decided that BB+2 seemed to be the best for me. I probably drove about 1000 miles at this Brands Hatch TT.
The final right-hander was tough for me to get right. Especially since I get so little practice with it, since I only infrequently make it all the way there before abandoning the lap!!!

Great fun!
