Might have a go at this this year, just watched a replay of a race from last year though and it looks like they had some insane multipliers

*Welp*

Looks like the livery I had made for the 2019 model will have to be redone on the 2020 model for the GR Supra Championship due to the power output increase.
Is there any difference visually between the old and new models?

I guess it depends on the market - the car is the GT Sport images is RHD (so probably a Japanese market vehicle), and has both the A91-specific colour and the carbon-fibre mirror caps.

From the update thread so I believe the above plus a power boost...

Kinda feels like there should be atleast 2 more races in that season line up.
Gotta start practicing my racecraft if im to stand a chance of making it into the top 15 NA again:sly:

I was going to ask why this car has 8 gears, but then realised the actual car only comes in Automatic.

Off topic but is that really what people want in a sports car?
There was a big uproar when Ferrari went semi-auto. Now it's not a problem. Today's autos are proven quicker than manual shifting.

I mean, if these "normal" sporting cars(Supra, Camaro, Mustang, etc) are doing sub 4 seconds without a sweat, while having apple play as standard, majority of buyers see the car's performance as the bonus. :sly:

Me personally, if it's quick and handles good, in a good package that's fun to drive, that's pretty much what I'll take in a sporting car.

Details for the GR Supra GT Cup are now up, apparently.

But wait, what's this?
"Car Model: Toyota GR Supra RZ ’20 / Toyota GR Supra RZ ’19"

It seems we're able to use the 2019 model of the Supra in addition to the newly added 2020 model too...
The new question is: Are we using N300 or N400 BOP? That can make a difference in which Supra will be better suited...

Under N300 BOP:
2019 Supra - 294hp (88%), 3148 lbs (94%), 324.7 ft-lb torque
2020 Supra - 294hp (77%), 3036 lbs (90%), 284.1 ft-lb torque

Under N400 BOP:
2019 Supra - 368hp (110%), 3351 lbs (100%), 405.9 ft-lb torque
2020 Supra - 394hp (103%), 3373 lbs (100%), 380.0 ft-lb torque

They're both 100k, plus can be gifted
in DWG. I guess PD figure if you only bought one to use last year, just keep it at that.
Using the '20, could be for people that just bought the game. This is good.

Just done a practice race in each and there really isn't a lot in it. '19 seems like it might be slightly quicker over a lap, '20 is better on tyres

Any idea if we’ll be racing on sports or racing tires?

How was it last time around?

Most likely Sports Hards, like last year.

There's the high tire wear multipliers again. Ugh. That is NOT what this series should be about. 👎

Going to miss the first round anyway, I'll be getting professional photos taken of my car and won't be home...
A friend of mine was doing some quick testing with the multipliers for Fuji. According to him, under N300 BOP, tire wear shouldn't be much too much to worry about. Under N400 BOP, it's a slightly bigger issue.

I'll be doing some testing myself tomorrow. Oh boy... this is going to be interesting.

They're not that bad as it turns out. Ran at the N400 BoP that's listed above in the '19 car and the worst tyres finished the race about half way worn but they hang on pretty well in terms of lap times - no big drop off. Pitting might be an option if you do it early enough but you'd easily do the race without your tyres dying

Well I am in for the 2020 races since I am available for those race days so I hope I will have a better season than 2019 when I
got killed in Race 2 by random players and rage quit the season.

As for the livery well I have to decide that very quickly since it's on my infinite wish list of things that I need to finish in Sport...

Nice trolling Toyota and PD
